MY top suggestions for new players:

1. Run EVERY scav every chance you get
2. Stick to Customs, Woods, and Shoreline(away from resort). Maybe Reserve if your gun skill is good.
3. Stick to looting stashes and killing scavs, dont go hunt down players, chances are theyre fully geared and outnumbering you.
4. Don't buy any "sick" guns. Buy a Hunter with OKP(best sight in the game) or PSO and M80. You dont need M61, if you cant kill with M80 use it til you can.
5. Find players YOUR skill level. Yes, running with full geared players like me or others is cool because you'll most likely get free kits, but we dont always want to go run quests. If you have two or three guys with the same quests as you you're going to learn together.
6. If you are playing with high gear guys, listen to them. If they say stop running through bushes or use caps lock, do it. It's for your own good.

MY top suggestions for new players:

1. Run EVERY scav every chance you get
2. Stick to Customs, Woods, and Shoreline(away from resort). Maybe Reserve if your gun skill is good.
3. Stick to looting stashes and killing scavs, dont go hunt down players, chances are theyre fully geared and outnumbering you.
4. Don't buy any "sick" guns. Buy a Hunter with OKP(best sight in the game) or PSO and M80. You dont need M61, if you cant kill with M80 use it til you can.
5. Find players YOUR skill level. Yes, running with full geared players like me or others is cool because you'll most likely get free kits, but we dont always want to go run quests. If you have two or three guys with the same quests as you you're going to learn together.
6. If you are playing with high gear guys, listen to them. If they say stop running through bushes or use caps lock, do it. It's for your own good.

I ran SKS with iron sights and no mods whatsoever..struggled to kill anything really, then went on a raid with a Vepr and it made a hell of a difference so my gut says that better weapons/mods/ammo should be my priority when going out on raids

the reason for this is that mbss most of the time costs more money than it saves you

the moment you can't bring something with you, you could see it as a loss.

The moment you get used to a big backpack and you manage to know how to loot/where to go. You'll never want to go back to small backpacks
