@brazen owl Once you are hitting around 2m in the stash, and feel decent about your ability to make money, I would definitely recommend a Scav Junkbox

upgrading the hideout, and the sheer amount of items you loot, once you get a feel for things and aren't selling things instantly all the time, it can free up a lot of space from the junk you need to collect

I have been reading and watching videos and playing customs only, now i know the map and extracts but can't win a gunfight, sound messes me up, cant decide if go to the shots or run away from them

1. Learn the map. Scav helps, Offlien helps. Have the map on Wiki up on a second tab.
2. Do not run. Learn audio cues.
3. Do not stay in the open. If you can see someone, they can see you. If you can't see anyone, they might still see you.
4. A well placed single shot to the head to helmetless scav at distance is usually more sensible than trying to full auto one at medium range.
5. Learn more audio cues.

Customs is an especially hard map to learn, as it has a few choke points, and all the players and player scavs pass through there

Lots of quests are there as well, so even more experienced players who might play other lucrative maps, often are still on it, and you will most likely encounter them

Yeah, the broken wall near Military checkpoint was my go to for scav hunting

clear out one side of it, then you can use it to get to cover if one side starts pushing

I usually take the crossing near RUAF if it is early in the raid and I started on the Customs office side

you don't make noise running across, there's more room to maneuver, and once you get across there's some hard objects to take cover behind if actually getting shot at

the small makeshift bridge on the otherside of the actual bridge makes a ton of noise while you cross, which every player will instantly recognize

and its on the side of the map with Dorms, which is one of the few locations geared players actually are trying to hit

use the edit preset option once you get the workbench going, you can mod there through options available within the game and then when you're done you can save the preset and let the game find parts for you on the flea market

the search tool is a pain in the ass though because it doesn't seem to recognize offers that are expired/out of stock
