- i did some PMC runs (died a lot) on my account when i first got it - lost all of my stuff - and now i've reset my profile so it's fresh and want to do it correctly

@modern steppe reshade isn't offically supported here far as I know. Supposedly blocked by some anti cheat aspects. I can say mine works fine. it is probably an older version though. nvr updated.

reshade is easier to use as its simply click a few things to turn it on and your good to go. geforce filters you have to mess around with the settings and options much more to get a desireable effect

Customs or interchange for best map to start. Customs has first tasks and is big enough to move around but small enough to get pvp/e. Interchange is bigger but has a ton of loot to sell but also loot that will be needed for tasks and Hideouts.
Interchange runs Scav/PMC. Loot tech, weapons, and hideout materials like power relay/corrugated hose etc. Exfil and sell @undone hazel

When you new guys get a task. Google the task name with the word tarkov at the end (or bookmark the wiki :)) and it will take you to the wiki page.
Looking up tasks is what everyone is going to recommend. I've played thousands of hours and still reference the wiki for tasks just to make sure I'm not confusing something.
Also as a general rule Google is your friend when it comes to tarkov. Want to know what Fuel Conditioner is for. Google fuel conditioner tarkov and boom. The wiki.
This is not cheating. If this were a puzzle game then looking shit up would be cheating. Doing the task is the hard part (people shooting at you and all) knowing what to do is just intel.

So if you want to memorise the best overall money gain from traders you only have to remember 3 things :
1-if it's not a weapon item(attachment,gun itself, scope, etc), check the flea market for it in case it costs a fuck ton since traders don't adjust pricing based on flea marker so you might end up selling an item worth 100k on the flea market for 10k to therapist.
2- sell all the gold loot items and barter items(that aren't interfering with #1) to therapist
3- sell all the mods you can to skier(strip the gun down completely because skier sometimes doesn't buy stuff he normally would if it's on a mount), and anything you cannot sell to skier goes to mechanic.
(Also sell clothing to skier)

Depends. Some enjoy playing solo (which I do). Many are farming task activities and farming items for hideouts and tasks. Last wipe after I had done all I wanted to do I was running with new people often helping out because I had all my shit squared away and was sitting on a pile of cash but at the moment I'm grinding all kinds of stuff and can't really afford to lose time/money til I finish that stuff.
