OT TLDR: As a beginner, Grinding offline vs. AI and bosses is fun, challenging, and rewarding. Offline mode has really helped make this learning curve a little less brutal. You can make a fuck-ton of mistakes and not lose much. You can learn about situational engagement and how to repair a fucked up leg, or cope with blood loss. You can at least get one map known enough to not be lost after spawning and be able to plan routes around AI scavs to extraction. You can't help being sniped online, but you can learn how to make yourself less of a target. This game is great for guys like me who like to spend time analyzing. You learn how to adapt on the fly, there's really no experience like it. I guess an OT ramble, but...

It's a tough task but obviously something that can be completed as thousands have completed it. Yes you will not likely complete on first attempt. I have a lot of hours in and think it took me about 5 tries as I kept getting unfortunate factory spawns when doing the drop off oart. Didn't help that I played it aggressive with the drop off either. But main message is that it's not broken or anything just difficult.

Once again my advice to new people is reset expectations. This is EFT. You are going to fail a lot in the beginning. You are going to get killed and not know from where or think it's OP bots but (I figure you don't want to hear this part) an experienced player wouldn't be killed by those scavs as often as a new player.

Either way the problem noted (in my opinion) is one of positional awareness. Sitting for 12 minutes is too long. It's a balance.

I've bounced rounds several times with the lvl 4 MICH helmet that's all you need and lvl 4/5 armor
If you get shot dead on in the facesheild doubt you survive with bullets people have access to now. You might survive a scav I guess, maybe.
