do keep in mind that oli and tech stores are hot spots for players, either get there before everyone else and dip with quick loot. or wait and loot other stores as there are other stores that spawn tech, building mats, and meds besides oli texho and the tech store right upstairs.

@terse sedge the first quest that requires 1 gas analyzer you can buy, the next you have to find 3 in raid or vise versa. oli is best place to get these and you can get them on the shelves at the front of the store. either run in with a pistol/hatchet to get there quickly and snag it if they spawn, or do scav raids but theyll most likely be looted.

@prisma girder Tech stores (i.e. Texcho) have good loot. Also killing scavs (or if you're a scav, looting them) can make a good amount of money. If you leave a raid with 2-3 guns that's an easy 60-100k
looting PC's can be good because they can have flashdrives and other electronics which sell for a good amount

Press armor has the best reparability, but is a very large blue.
6B23-1 armor blends in, is heavier, but also has good reparability & durability.

Depends on what key. If they are very common keys like 206 or 303 for dorms then sell to Therapist...although most of the experienced people don't even pick those keys up. If it's super rare like a a red keycard or maybe a high end shoreline key then can sell on Flea since you will make more than therapist will pay. However you would want to keep those keys to use as there is loot in there and some are for tasks.

206 and 303 spawn constantly. You will need 206 for a task and iirc 303 may be a task key. I wouldn't bother to pick up duplicates of those.
Labs keycard you can sell on flea when you get access or run labs if you want.
Google/wiki is your friend for tarkov. Wiki will tell you if key is for a task and what is behind door.

Weapon-wise, according to most guides I've read, the go-to starter weapons are the SKS for medium range or the PP-19-01 for CQC full-auto

Buckshot usually does the job, go for slugs if you want accuracy. But if the scav has 3M or untar armor you're boned. Worse if they've got the 6b armor, buckshot isn't going to touch that all.
Best advice is aim for their neck/head or legs.

Outside of occasional nonsense headshots, scavs are only dangerous if you're outright not following simple movement fundamentals. You cannot treat them like a dumb bot, they are dangerous and should be treated as such

Pistols are pretty much for killing scavs and really unaware players. The goal of a pistol run is to get a decent gun (looting or from a corpse) and run from there.
