Pro tips: Only run when being shot at or if you need to move to get a shot on a enemy, always move low and slow around buildings, never take a shot you can't guarantee you'll hit, and always aim for the body unless you got the drop on an enemy.

I don't think you can put one of the big sniper scopes on an mp5, for example

Lots of different opinions. I tend to use SKS low level. Or whatever I take from scavs like AKM or ADAR. I won't use pistols past the first couple days and never use the Saiga 9mm. A bit later I like to run other stuff.

but it has to be regularly spawning loot, not special mission loot, otherwise you can't get it as a Scav

Swamp sniper can happen. Loot house that direction has been getting visited. The other two I imagine you simply crossed their entire approach to the map and they simply got the drop on you for it. Even in trees. If your on top of a hill running along. not impossible to spot you with a good monitor or simply walk into you because ppl think like minded and like sniping from those hills and trees.
For a solution I might suggest simply going afk until the last 10-20 minutes of a raid and then going out. half the map should be dead or dieing and your less likely to run into people. Just the skilled ones who can only cover so much ground.
Otherwise you might just need more map experience on shoreline.
Interchange and going through parking lots might be a better option as well. tons of weapon cases and can be fairly inactive at times as well.
Maybe find a nice scav crowd on scav runs and try studying and taking advantage of ai allies and see how players combat them.
Tho, that's a good idea....

Technically there are specific weapon parts needed to build the Gunsmith task weapons but we are already stockpiling task items and now Hideout items. Most of us just buy our way through the gunsmith tasks using Flea/traders

going ham on factory requires one to have resources which is something im lacking, and ive tried rushing and playing SUPER slowly and nothing is working. I feel like i need someoen to show me whats up because even when i got into the shit on .11 i was holding my own and winning fights so far in .12 ive done nothing but just lose all the starting gear. Its to the point where im at knife runs or scav runs, im confused as to what im even doing wrong because "going ham" gets my killed and taking it slow seems to just get me shot by a dude who hasnt moved in 15 minutes watching an exit of a place

For getting your economy back up play scav on reserve/interchange. If interchange, walk around the map until you find the confrontation area. Usually every raid has an area where a large fight happened, and you can often pick items off dead pmcs or scavs. I make minimum 100k per scav run, sometimes way way more (made 500k off one last night)
