What do people think about the SKS vs the AK. AK's are going for like 25k and with like 10k of mods (Muzzle + buttpad) it becomes amazing. Compared to the SKS I don't really see why I'd use the SKS but it still seems to be the gun of choice for newbies. Why is that?

I don't see a point of comparison here. AK guns are mostly automatic rifles which work better in close quarters and have much wider spread of builds available. They are more versatile in pretty much every aspect. SKS is cheap and easy to find tho so maybe that's why new players use them 🤔

I go by this chart. it gives a rough idea the amount of bullets it takes to kill someone wearing different armour
So in that sense the bullet matters but the gun you use can help determine how you send it down range.
I favour SKS for the efficiency and gun discipline aspects it's given me. I find a kitted AKM and go spray some buildings at times.

I will always recommend veprkm over sks, but ifyou do not have one, buy the sks and 762 PS from prapor. You can take cheap makarovs or other pistols and head tap scavs for instant upgrade for minimal risk. Pp19 is strong enough, just a lower recoil pistol. Ak74u should be cheap on market but absolute atrocity for a gun imo. Ak74/ak74n should be cheap on market too.
Mosin iron sights are fine. Just tap someone, toss the mosin in a bush and grab the new kit

@minor wren ignoring the suppressor and pso, the AKMN is the other extent of how I'd mod a vepr or akm. If you find a AKMN definitely buy the 20k pso from prapor and go to town with that bad boy. Single shot it like a sks of course. It still has way better stats.

@autumn delta also in 11.7 the adar receiver has 80 durability which translates to an accuracy bug as well as starting off at .065 accuracy and on top of that the 16" or 406mm barrel reduces accuracy compared to 370.

Having a mouse set with NON MACROS! but 1 button click bindings will cause cheat problems? I use this for games, not professionally, just because but I never had issues, I am scared I could get banned and lose 50 Euros investment in this amazing game... is this ok? @static wren If you right click a weapon, you can click "linked items", which opens up a page on the market of all parts that can be applied to your weapon. You'll need to do that for each individual parts of the weapon that can have another attachment on it.

It nearly impossible for new players to do anything. except get killed by fully outfitted players and scavs. Iv been trying to play this game for days now and the only time i can acvtually obtain any thing as far as gear is by playing as a scav. sorry for the rant its jsut frustrating because i actully killed a scav and got some gear went to leave at what i thought was an extraxtion point and got killed by a fully outfitted player who i was not hostile with at all but he came up and killed me instantly. It just sucks knowing that ever time i go into it i know im loosing all my shit.
