The game is likely resetting within a week or so, so try your best to have fun! If you're really looking to make money, try to avoid active gunfights and just scavenge afterwords. Plentry of raider loot is left behind because they have so much.

@fickle tusk well, you've came at an interesting time. Pre-wipe events have started, so all of the scavs, AI on the map, are the hardest one. Also, all the traders, the shops in the game, are empty.

So um. Just jump into it! You'll at least get to learn some gun play. Or try #pvp-lfg. However, just know this isn't how it always is.

Well the reason I ask is because your success rate can net you a modest amount of constant income, A kit for me cost 2 raids profit from a "meh" run. This concept can help you figure out what a "safe" gear is for you to run which will slowly grow

Hey folks, how do you deal with the alt-tab issues? I alt tab and the game is blown up and washed out. Alt+enter brings it back but then its not fullscreened and the bottom of the screen is cut off. There any good fixes for this?

I use windowed borderless. When I tab (while in game) and the inventory pops up I can mouse over to my other monitor. Must set up Windowed borderless in launcher and in the in-game settings.

No, The White Keycard is required to go inside of Labs. The Yellow Keycard for example opens a room to disable the alarm inside of Labs.

on interchange, the powerplant one just provides an alternative, since there are only 2 other extracts and only one of them is available to you depending on where you spawn

well generally everyone spawns at the same time in different spots (though slightly late spawns are possible), but factory is small and people know the spawns, some people rush other spawns from their own to get a fight

While it may be counter productive, I'm a looks over performance person, which isn't that good for such a hardcore FPS. But I can't help it. Honestly, it all depends on your hardware and your preferences.

Appreciate that. I play a lot of different FPS and have a pretty decent rig, so I usually cap my FPS at 237 and try to eek out as much beauty as I can whilst maintaining high performance.

Beautiful game, horribly optimized. I wouldn't get too in depth with customization right now as 0.12 is right around the corner, and is bringing a new version of Unity. Therefor, there may be some big optimization changes.

Yeah, I bought the game quite a while ago but never got round to playing it as I think I bought it when a reset was very soon and with work etc. I just never got invested. I've been watching it on and off for a few years and have been recently watching Summit smashing it and when they mentioned 0.12 (which a lot of players have been waiting to arrive for quite some time), I thought it'd be a good time for me to return and get a little actual understanding before the wipe.

Pistols are a low caliber, you're not going to pen higher tier armor. The shots may of been absorbed by the armor, thus doing no damage to the player.

If you want to defend yourself or kill someone, especially at during this end of wipe event, you're going to want a rifle with a larger caliber to consistently damage other players. That's just how things go.

Who'd win in a fight, 3 guys with AKs or 3 guys with pistols? AKs unless the pistol group aim for the head and land their shots.

@naive jolt These wipe cycles happen every few months between major patches. It's a way for people to have a change of pace, use all their gear in their stash, and spend the money they've been hoarding.
