Preference. You can start with valday, tac30, elcan, or vudu
Tac30 and vudu have a weird sensitivity bug. Assault scopes such as acog, bravo, elcan, valday have a 1:1 sensitivity comparable to red dot. But tac30 vudu and other high power scopes have a very slow sensitivity that can only be managed by dpi on the fly or adjusting ingame ads

@hard prism my piece of advice is having a cheap but effective gun while you learn. Look no further than. Veprkm/vpo136, vepr hunter with m80 rounds and a pso, sv98 ironsigght or mount optic if you wish(dont use mosin), and FAL. When you feel confident running expensive kit, 545 BS and 556 m995 will do you justice for AK74s and m4s
But until you have acess to those rounds as well, use the cheaper but effective stuff.

Point fire can be very effective at close range. It's faster than ADS. Recoil is obviously a factor and modded will have less recoil than non-modded. For longer range single fire ads. For close quarters. Point fire.

as for the aggressive always getting you killed, it depends on maps
customs is okay to be aggressive
labs and IC, aggressive gets you killed
unless your enemy has shit ammo, time to kill in tarkov is always very short. if you get seen first, you're dead meat

For gameplay, do offline raids with or without AI enemies until you get a feel for the map.

Well the AK you're given is very, very common. You can usually find them with 10 round magazines on scavs fairly often.,
Pistols are nice, but lack of moddability and the weakness of the ammunition can get you killed more often than not.

Try to always do actions with determination and swiftness, but dont play fast just for sake of playing fast
And dont sprint and suddenly start holding angles
Because everyone in a half mile radius heard you run, and as they never heard you run off again, they now know to look out for you

Wipe is coming soon, focus on learning either Customs for early tasks or Interchange to make decent profits with low investment
Try using the cheap 7.62x39 weapons like the Vepr 136 and the SKS, they're both really cheap and perform much better than pistols

Get your very basic bearings
Then start putting in runs with an SKS with rounds in pocket (it can be toploaded as long as it's got the 10 round internal mag in it)
And a good starting tip is, depending on what game you come from, that you dont need to engage every player
If they ain't seen you, it's your choice to risk it for the biscuit

That Pix42 sells for 16k, the gun itself for 24k
One takes 1 slot, the other takes 10
So if you have a small backpack, make sure to use every slot well, although sadly it takes some experience to know whats valuable in a raid
And dont bother picking up destroyed body armor etc unless you have an empty equip slot for it, its not worth the size unless its like a Gzhel, Gen4, Killa armor or a Fort
