Shadow vis low actually helps vision since the areas are brighter further out
Overall vis lowest is still a solid several hundred meters of render distance, so that doesnt matter either. When sniping I turn it up to 1000 since you wont shoot over a km in Tarkov ever

I have and I've got better at my aim though I still can't shoot reliably, like I got an ADAR and a scope and it seems random half the time if I get a headshot or not.
I'm using the Prism 25 and the circle-markers on the scope seem to make no difference, I've tried getting the scav-head directly surrounded by the aiming circle and sometimes that counts as a head-shot when I fire, sometimes it doesn't.
I know there's no bullet drop/wind resistance in this game but it still feels borderline like a random-chance to hit.

Yeah but there's no trail in this game, like I said, -every- encounter if they dont 1-shot me from 10000 yards away where I don't see them, the -moment- I do spot them they've already seen me and they always just 1-tap me.
and I don't know if its hackers which this game apparently has in spades, or if thats just the 'average tarkov player' somehow who, so long as you're within 1000 meters, they can head tap you.

i think the issue you're having is more of a pvp issue? pvp is hard in this game, my best advice is get a full auto weapon, hold trigger til they stop moving, reload mags after every encounter

I think it's just a combination of.. like, 1: my lack of skill and 2: spotting people, like, people seem to spot me from -insane- distances, I watched a guy on Twitch, Pestily and DeadlySlob and they are the same, they spot players and even when I pause their stream and turn it to 1080P, I -cant- see the players like they are.

Personally I use my scavs to run interchange, if you hit the right places you probably won't run into people, you'll kill a few scavs and you'll get a lot of items you could sell for gear and then go into a raid semi-geared and you'll have a lot of a better chance to succeed :)

I've been using the 7.62 Vepr quite a bit recently, the rounds are cheap, you can get the base gun for 20k and it's really cheap

The thing is, without the ability to track a target on sight and keep your frames up, you can't improve your pvp because it's limited

Bravo4 is one example of a 4x assault scope with a red dot mount rail on top of it

Any pistol-sized reflex sight so the Aimpoint Micro T1, the Leupold DeltaPoint, the Burris FastFire3 at least for certain
You can use Linked Search on the scope to see what parts go on it
Most of the micro red dots have a small flat little mount piece that shows up in the search first
