@little compass one thing I would highly recommend is learn to point shoot (shoot without aiming down sight). It's super useful in tarkov and quite easy to learn. The centre of your screen is just up and left of the end of your gun model

There are several types of ammo that basically ignore class 5

#

And otherwise a lot of it is about who spots the other guy first and can put down accurate fire before the opponent

You can always reset your account and start over

Run it at night to reduce player count and give easier escapes

And go low gear, pistol only. Grab a scavenger on the way and use the free gear to exfil, with 0 risk

The game just has a ton of features, once you get map knowledge down, that's 1/2 the battle (just like any other FPS). The other half is knowing what gear to use when and getting used to aiming for the head.

If you bought a different game edition, it does change your stash size and what you start with at the moment. But with the hideout, you should be able to upgrade your stash to max easily, and I know a few EOD edition players who are bad enough to lose everything in the first two days of a wipe

Deadly's kit still applies, just without the weapon. The pot helmet and that armor chest rig are good ones to start out with, just not the ADAR, though you could still make it work with the 855 as long as you're staying at a distance with the scope and are going for headshots

The thing to keep in mind, and this is a misconception of a lot of newer players, greater gear only gives you 1-2 seconds of breathing room sometimes. If I'm running a raid, I'm running ammo that can pierce class 5-6.

Best way to bait raiders is noise. Running, shooting, and letting them see you momentarily and then ducking out of sight. If they refuse to budge, get them out of their hideout with a grenade, they usually start pushing after that.

I almost never meet excfil campers (except occasionally on factory, and even then only gate3). Just try playing a bit quicker.

Also @shell gulch 7n39 isn't a direct upgrade to BS, there are a lot of cases where 7n39 takes 3 thorax hits to kill, where BS will only take 2

If you're leaving near the end of the raid, it's usually BECAUSE OF the timer - you're forced to leave by then. Any other player in the game, PMC or player scav, will also be looking to leave ASAP, so your ods of meeting someone at extract are the highest they'll ever be.

At 37 damage, and damage being slightly variable, and ammo sometimes losing a small percentage of damage despite penetrating a piece of armor

And with the head having 35 health

There are times when you may land a penetrating headshot with Igolnik and fail to drop the target in one hit

Leaving their head at 1 or 2 health

This is why I moved to BS, as it still penetrates Maska's sides and top, and penetrates Altyns, and ensures a one hit kill if it does

Yea a good starting way is keep a 30 rounder of BS for guaranteed PVP spots (Resort in shoreline, dorms in customs, etc...) and run the rest BT, that way you always have a mag that can take down PMC's regardless of armor, but aren't breaking the bank spraying it into scavs.

If you want to get really fancy, you can even run the BS in a red mag and rest of your mags black with BT

what i do is stockpile loot from doing constant scav interchange raids, then a few lucky pmc raids on scavs, and get good loot room unlocks with keys. And just make it out alive, then once stash is full sell everything and do quests

Noticed I've been having a fair bit of trouble spotting or pin-pointing peoples location as of late. Been trying both going in fast with quick and decisive clears or slow and steady with angle peeking. Both of which to no avail lately, hell even listening to surroundings doesn't help with preparing for what's around. I'm speaking mostly factory but open space maps differ only in that I often cannot even tell from where I got dropped on. Going from cover to cover or checking my angles to keep visibility low just doesn't make the cut. Meanwhile if I do end up facing my demise, they seem to better know how use the angles and gaps to put more bullets into me than I can. Unless I just cannot penetrate their armor and/or my aim sucks. Though I kill more than I die, so making it to the extraction seems to be the bigger issue I guess. Anything helps!
