@elder herald As a scav you aren't supposed to be killing other scavs, thats like a team kill, it will be punished with the karma system soon. Scared noob player scavs might kos you though so be vigilant but in reality they are your team.

@boreal zenith for the handguard you have on, go to the flea market and look for the "MK12", thats the gas block you need, just drag it onto your gun or find the correct slot for it (part of the barrel attachment) for that build too, either you need to get a red dot of some kind to replace the rear or also look for "magpul MBUS" and you will find the flip up front ironsight to attach

@boreal zenith another trick is you can right click on the part that is red or you want an attachment for and select "linked search" and it will (usually) show you the right things you can attach to it, dont forget to cancel the filter in your flea market when you want to search for other things though. try it with the foregrip, right click on the LVOA foregrip from your weapon inspection menu you have in the screenshot and select linked search, then you can find the correct CASV 6 inch or 4 inch guides (get 1 of either) that will allow you to attach normal front grips that will greatly reduce your recoil and also the CASV 2 inch (get 3) that will allow you to attach lasers and other things.

If they add a karma system to discourage scav vs scav fights ima be really happy and sad at the same time. It’ll be nice to not have to be afraid of every scav you see as a p-scav, but also it adds to some of the realism when you have infighting and disagreement over loot etc.

If you want to practice, grab yourself something with a long range scope, go to offline woods with Scav spawns turned up, and clamber up onto some rocks.
Also use sound to your advantage, even when the opponent is suppressed just look in the direction opposite of the bullet impacts.

@autumn delta you can try and repair it with a different trader, like mechanic if you're not able to repair it with prapor, could also get someone you trust to shoot you with a pistol or something that won't face fuck you and then repair it to remove the cracks
Also if you just click repair on the helmet you're repairing the helmet not the face shield, you need to double click or inspect the altyn and then repair the faceshield

I sold it anyway but wanted to know why it wasn't fixed

can always invest in cheaper more sniper focused setups until you feel more in control and free to roam.
one taps i find are usually practiced areas and setup angles

AI scavs just walk on by, but sometimes I recognise its a scav so I think "oh they're friendly" then 5 seconds later they shoot me
So now it makes me panic whenever I see a scav, because I have no clue if they're going to shoot me or not
