You can get some money from customs, but from my experience its a pvp map so i feel the map is more for players gear than actual loot. You could do marked room runs I guess, to see if your lucky enought to get something good in there @autumn delta

but you can do the same thing with garage, just go off to the side and headshot them as they pass through

If you're using 9mm, Pst gzh is the absolute minimum, AP6 is recommended. If you're using 9x18? Don't.

AP pistol ammo is nice because once in a while you'll face a kiver face shield
in which case just use 6.3 to cover your bases, it has a >66% chance to pen on the first shot
otherwise you can just use whatever, most common i've seen is the tt-33

If you get to the pocket watch before anyone has killed the scavs at construction, kill the scavs get the pocket watch and leave quickly before someone comes towards your shots

I mean, about the whole gear fear thing, I've just started out and am getting a feel for the game, earlier on people around my level were running around Factory like me and it was fairly even, but now it seems that some higher levels just keep sniping me constantly. I don't mind losing gear, already lost most of what I started with and everything I've bought so far, but getting repeatedly killed by the same 2-3 high level pmc's who are running factory constantly is getting tiring

When running Scav if I get caught looting bodies are the AI scavs going to shoot at me

no but other scav players could take you out. you're only gonna get targeted by AI scavs if you shoot other scav AI or if you kill a scav player before he shoots/damages you. At least that's what i assume of the "recent" changes. Haven't touched the game in a month so.

I enjoyed the kappa, but it's honestly on par with the gamma, i'd almos say the gama is better on the off chance you bump someone with a expensive helm, you can stash it in the gamma, but not the kappa.

the people who play that map know the spawns and the map back to front and will almost always be able to outplay you I guess this is the same with any map but on factory it's definitely harder to extract with gear if you're new and have crappy gear
personally I'd say customs is better I played it alot when I was getting into the game and it's possible to totally avoid players and get early quests done

don't take gear that you can't afford to lose. don't get greedy. check your corners. learn the maps
@terse yew Factory as a scav is a great way to get some loot and/or warm up for a PMC raid
as a beginner, I wouldn't recommend it as a PMC
it's a bit too chaotic, especially if you don't know the map and the key loot locations
customs is an okay starter map -- you can play it safe and hit the less popular loot locations and still get out fairly easily
and I guess same goes for Interchange as well
come to think of it, most maps can be fairly safe if you try to avoid conflict and skip the high-end loot locations

Okay i got a question:
I just played a raid on woods for the scav killing quest. My exfils were outskirts (which was redded out so that means it is not usable, right?), ZB-0114 bunker and south V-exfil (which I hadnt any money for, since i didnt bring any). So the bunker was my only way to exfil. But there was a locked door in front of the extraction zone. How am I supposed to exfil under these circumstances?

been messing with graphics settings in game and noticed that (at least in the settings menu) my fps caps at 60 with vsync OFF and with vsync ON i am capped at 144. i am running a 144hz monitor on a 2070 and i5-9600. any idea why? texture and shadow are high, everything else pretty much off.

With every single edition, there's closed-beta access.
And generally it seems AMD CPUs, SSDs, and Nvidia GPUs is the sweet spot. There really isn't a way to test at the moment, and sharing a account even for a test is against TOS.

Depends on how fast you are. If you don't spawn late you can rush any entrance most of the time. If you want to play slow and carefully, you can also take any entrance if you wait about 5-10 minutes
