Is there an easy way to tell Ai scavs apart from player scavs or other PMC’s or is it literally just watch their movement I can normally tell if it’s an ai scav when they move but a couple times yesterday I hesitated thinking they were a normal ai scav then I get shot in the face. Only level 3 so still figuring it all out and having to do scav runs when I can go learn the maps and get a little gear for my pmc

Take everything slow, only run if you need to rapidly reposition, never take a shot you don't think you can hit, and ammo is cheap-your gear isn't

Interchange is A+, the red electronics store on the second floor, then Ollie and Goshan have tons of electronics and consumable loot between them

Top that off with the abundance of scavs and the occasional appearance of Killa as a walking gold mine is a plus.

Though if you engage Killa, either do it at range with a Mosin or something comparable or get right in his face with a SMG or Shotgun and turn his ankles into hamburger.

So after a few google can't find a straight answer, If I were to hop into a match as a Scav does that mean anyone I run into that is also a scav is a "friendly" same for pmc, or is this a free for all? ofc excluding if you party up.

I don’t believe there’s a set punishment for it as of yet I know they want to put in a karma system on the future however if you shoot a Ai scav then the rest will become hostile

@rain basin So from what I've experienced , occasionally there are other scav players who will not shoot you because you are a scav (I've run into this about 4-5 times this season, out of 100+ runs, lol). If you kill AI scav, so far as I know, only the scavs in the immediate area will be hostile to you. So if you kill a scav in customs, say where you spawn, unless you kill more on the way towards the other side of the map, usually the scavs on the opposite side of the map won't be hostile. But if you play as PMC, all AI, and players are hostile (unless you are teamed up with someone)

@quasi breach one way to get this armors is to play as scav and go to customs mostly on scav populated area and just check what armor they have, if they do have the one you need commit treason and kill the scav ):

but 100k isn't much money really you can make that on interchange as scav under 10min(if no backpack you have to hunt some other follow scavs to take it ) , i can show you few routes if you want

I don’t know how to push reply on my phone, but to whoever was asking about scav aggro: if you do damage to any scav as a scav, all ai will be hostile to you. On customs and interchange, killa and reshala ( the bosses ) will always be aggro no matter what. And Ujka, the scav only knows where you are if it has sightline of you which is dependent on elevation and current weapon equipped. Unless that scav has a sniper rifle such as a mosin or SKS scoped, it won’t be able to shoot back

Whats an easy way to kill scavs on customs?

@pastel minnow If they haven't seen you, one tap them in the head from cover. Then run to a new location. If other scavs in the area were alerted, they'll head right for the gunshots.

Once they see you, you have about a second to kill (I think it is less?) them before they blow out your legs, maybe your stomach. If you don't feel confident you can do that, sprint into cover and flank them. Once they lose you, they go into search mode and become pretty dumb. You can just lean out behind them and one tap them in the head.

What kind of tip are you looking for? Surviving, Exfils, Combat, Looting?

Well, Customs is a very populated map, so is harder to avoid firefights, first thing is to learn the map entirely and what are the most common paths other players do. Exfils as PMC is really simple, if you spawn you exfil on the other side of the map, some exfils has lights that can be seen from the distance to let you know that they're open, the exfils that are most far away are always open.

Be aware of distant shots and try to keep in mind where they come from and where, this plus your map knowledge would make you more aware about where enemies are going and engage them having the surprise element on your side.

#

This can sound a little bit silly but is one of the main reasons why beginners (if you're not just ignore this) die (in my experience), if you know that there are enemies nearby, move from cover to cover until the encounter or firefight ends.

#

Have you experienced a firefight where you felt outplayed so hard and you didn't know what to do? If you had one share it so we can talk about it.

I was once on interchange in some sort of shop with like 3 or 4 weapon boxes, i only had a pistol and i was crouching and leaning from behind cover looking at a doorway because i heard footsteps coming from there. The moment the guy walked in the shop, i saw that he had some sort of assault rifle with a laser sight, full armor, helmet amd everything. I took 2 shots at him but then i got instantly headshotted

i bind fast/quiet movement on my mouse so if i'm backstabing some one and we start a fight i can start running at normal/fast speed rather then being in slow/creep mode still

I was wondering if someone could criticise my line of thinking here:

  1. PACAs will stop shotgun one-taps and AI/Player Scav one-taps.
  2. PACAs are approximately RUB 17,500 cheaper than Kirasas.
  3. Players are running around with top-tier AP rounds that melt Gen 4s and Fort, so anything above a PACA is pointless.

Below is a table that I've compiled that shows all the rounds in the game that can penetrate the PACA, but not the Kirasa.

The only thing I don't know is how often scavs (both AI and Player) will spawn with the below variants of ammunition 🤔

You also wanna be able to ensure as much survivability as possible because you can never know exactly what you're gonna be going up against, I'm saying that spending more on your armor is something you should do because buying 2 Kirasa is more expensive than buying a 6b13

That's the thing though, it's 100% impossible to mentally simulate every possible encounter, you also have to figure what kinda of encounters you'd win if you went against someone with Level 3 and you had Level 4 with comparable firearms and ammunition.

I try to map, model, extrapolate and min. max everything to sometimes redundant levels of obsurdity. Most people would stop much earlier and buy the Grade 4 as insurance and just forget about the minute cost savings
