@plain snow Biggest tip I can suggest is right mouse menu > "linked search" it will pull everything on the market that can be attached directly to the weapon. things like fore grips and some optics require mounts or foreends.

- To a certain extent, scavs are not going to bring in the loot you could gain from dropping plays
- It gives away your position, putting you in a vulnerable stance when firing and looting
- Why engage the scav and risk it snapshotting buckshot into your skill
- Letting scavs live gives the chance of it engaging a player behind you; just a possibility
- If you’re a scav, shooting another scav agros them to you

right now im stuck trying to do prapors quest where you gotta retrieve the case from customs and then take it into factory. this is my first time really playing tarkov. and man it seems like i get aim botted by scavs almost instantly through bushes and stuff.

avoid scav routes, or bring a decent gun (mosin, vepr hunter)
on factory just bring the best AK you have, hide in the undergrounds somewhere
the way i see it, it's better to guarantee that quest completion in under an hour than to suffer through it for a week by playing properly

First it would be good that you learn where the points of interest are for players
For example customs: dorms (tasks), construction, new gasstation, customs office and the new area are kinda hotspots for players

it's time consuming but hiding in a server until late and pushing for quest late in raids can make it easier and leave with more loot...

How do you surivie interchange?
I know the map well. I have like over 100h into game, I know some loot locations, maby not all the best, just where the pcs are. Some rare loot in ikea, and electronic shop on 2nd floor.
But I kinda don't get have idea how to play map properly. Either I kinda run/go fast through the map, cuz scavs this wipe are so rare that I get into duo or get killed by camping scav player in the most unexpected places. Not where good loot is. Just ppl camping at staircases, or in the garage.
And if I want to pay attention to every single possible camping spot I'd have to go on crouch speed 0.1 not to get heard and check every corner. But this leaves me vurnable to someone seeing me "moving" in open corridors or sumthing.
I am not the best 1v1 pleayer either, but I can't even practice, cuz I got killed mostly from behind.

@hasty walrus there is both. I pistol rush customs room for keylock. or any quest item. I scav I go slowly toward gun fire and scavange or finish off survivors. I gear up for a team I stay back and cover the team. recover their guns. walk off with it if I dont like em. Headphones do help. the shifting of boots turning. the click of fire modes. a grenade to test hiding spots. Get a comfy cheap load out and just keep raiding a comfortable route that pays well or is fun.
and if I am stuck in a stand off with no idea where enemy is. I split for a nearby hiding spot I like and scout them out or just leave if I am loaded.
running the clock till late if need be. ditching good gear for insurance and testing waters naked sonetimes.

If all you want us the armour and gun you spawned in with might as well evac immediately anyway.

@keen lantern personal preference, some fire different rounds i.e. the mosin, the sv-98 as of last patch didn't have any attachments other than optics if I'm not mistaken whereas everything else did. Main one will be ergo and the amount of time you can ADS because with mosins it's about 5 second the others will be way longer
