I was just playing Woods, found the ZB 14 key on a scav, so decided to use that extract. I had 2 minutes left when I got there. It didn't work. I was the first person there because I unlocked the door

yeah it's tough to get used to, but in the case of both zb 014 and the old gas station there needs to be green smoke billowing by the extract then u know its open don't even check otherwise
shoreline also has one, the rock passage, that you can see the smoke from far away and it's up otherwise don't bother

Could someone give me some advice on in game settings? It's been a few months since I've played and just started up again. But the view seems different, almost too zoomed in, and the movement in general just seemed really disorienting. Not sure if it's just me but I don't remember this. Any settings I need to fix this problem?

So.. I am not new to tarkov.. nor do i have minimal hours.. I practice about 4-5 hours a day.. in offline mode with scavs in PVE ... learning the maps and learning the best ways to get loot and get to extracts. I have owned and been playing since it was available to play on PC... The MOMENT i go to play online... I die withing 10 seconds to 1 minute Please don't tell me "give it time, you'll get better" I am sitting on about 900 hours.. are some people just not able to play FPS games and get good I am about to delete the game. my suggestion would be to have a map open on a second monitor or your phone of the map you are playing
in the raid you must press O twice to see which extracts are available to you
look up where they are on the map, and walk over to them when you are ready to extract
if you did it right an 8 second countdown will pop up on the top right of your screen
when those 8 seconds run out you have succesfully extracted and are free to take the items

Just note on some maps some extracts are scripted ones ie require money payment and or locked behind a key. Just make to sure to look out for that too.

which is also a map i'd reccomend to get the basics down as you'll figure out the map layout quickly and encounter a lot of pvp there
