Also if you disengage a raider, don't repeek for about 60 seconds unless you are really confident

The freezing isn't my computer, its basically being stuck in the air ingame and not being able to do anything except opening the console and then it eventually crashed on its own.

I try to keep the ergo value above 40, it doesn't work on all guns, but probably most of them.

You should definitely try to keep that value high. All the things Cassius mentioned are very important in close quarter battles and the gameplay is almost exclusively evolving around that.
I personally prefer +65, because of that I am already avoiding certain weapons because their ergonomics base value is horrible.

What I personally did to improve at the game was to play aggressive scav on Factory, pushing toward gunfire, getting involved, if you live you've got your pick of the loot, take valuable attachments such as the sprut torches on the scav shotguns

If you don't want to risk your gear yet, you can always play PvE, and get better that way. If that's too easy for you, you should go online, as you'll most likely wreck everyone and get good gear. Also, all the gear/money you don't use is already lost, so you might as well get something out of it.

EFT crashes, my whole computer even BSODs from memory errors in that situation at times, and I also get stuck in the air not being able to do anything except Alt-F4 or open the cosnole.

For me the newbie maps are customs and woods. middle size, somehow easy to understand, factory is pure action ,but you get used to it pretty quick
one press of shift will change from running to walking, and viceversa and caps lock will change your currnt walking speed to the minimum
