practice makes perfect. If you haven't played FPS games it will be a lot harder. Map knowledge, you need to learn PMC spawns, boss spawns, hot zones, extracts. I suggest you learn map by map where the quests take you. You don't need to shoot well to ambush someone.

for setup, you only go INSIDE the dorms if you get a very near spawn, otherwise you camp a spot to dorms so you can ambush people going there.

The biggest thing to keep in mind with GZ is it is super linear. If you find one landmark, it's easy to navigate from there. The MG is in capital insight, right next to the car extract, on the top floor. So, you'll wanna figure out where you are on the map, head in that direction, and get to the top. You need to be a bit careful, though, as people playing GZ, especially if matchmaking is still bugged, are likely doing sbih so be aware it'll probably be contested, and keep in mind that being on ground level you're at risk of just being sniped.

Personally I put the discard button on one of my mouse buttons. This lets me discard equipment, or items out of my inventory way quicker. Its really nice because you can run up to a body, drop all your shit, equip theirs, and you can move to a safe spot to sort through it later instead of sitting out in the open asking to get headshot.

I personally run things like tv110 for large maps and the sp pc v2 for more close quarters and put a lvl 5 plate in the front with a cqcm mask lvl 3 and a takedown bag

Flux helmet is good as well, since it has no penalties

usually i play games around 0.3 but tarkov sensitivity is a lot higher with less need to make full turns

realistically you can skip the helmet. you basically pay for a small chance of ricochet, not the armor itself. And since you die to neck/face shots mostly helmets rarely make a difference

additionally you could take out the backplate of your armor to stretch your armors out a bit? Again, on average youre gonna die to shots from the front not the back. But this is really absurd minmaxing

There's guides online for everything you need for the hideout. You also need to find every item in raid now in order to use it for upgrading. Crafting, you can still use bought items. As for battle pass idk I never messed with it

theres cool customization aspects, it gives u access to a shooting range to test guns

craft meds, ammo, armors/weapon cases

u can also craft task items often

anything u craft will be "found in raid"

super useful , for example I'm always crafting good ammo like m61 and propitals

it does for one map Lighthouse, because there is special AI that shoots at Bears from a very long distance but leaves USEC alone for the most part.

otherwise just a little bit starting equipment (Bears start with AK, and ammo for those is plentiful on scavs), and depends on the clothes style you like

You get extra inital gear with EoD yes, there's like 1-2 set of gear sent by prapor in the first weeks of the wipe but thats it and I think everyone gets thr prapor message
