Ground zero is a mid map. There's a reason no one plays it after the early quests. But it's not horrible either. It's managable. Hitting the static PMC body spawns as a scav is preety solid aswell.

you'll have to die like 25-30 times before you get a feel for where you should be on a map
practice your route, if it fails once, change nothing
if it fails several times in a row in the same place, change it where it fails

that lets you keep track of what places are reliably safe and reliably dangerous
time is also a factor, some spots are very safe at some times in the raid and very dangerous at others

Happens a lot tbh, the game was designed with summer weather in mind and a lot of stuff gets covered with the snow

I prefer SMG's early on, you can't get good ammo for anything so might as well use the gun it's easiest to get headshots with

you can find good ammo for the AK74u pretty easily though, if you do then it's a good option

Well the only thing exposed on tagillas mask is the back. You're hitting his jaws/eyes/ears which are all covered on his mask. Unlike other helmets. Also I'm sure it has some pen it isn't just stopped by a lvl 1 but I'm not sure.

and since its a face mask you have to hit him from the back

with 4 hits if you did hit him on the head every time at 20% reduction due to armor is 109.8 dmg

but since they moved the neck hitbox to the chest recently if you hitthe neck that twice would mean you wont kill him

you may have been hitting his neck the hit zones are very close together

and neck is part of the torso health pool

i would need to see a replay to be certian what you were hitting but it seems you missed his head a couple times

its also hard to tell what your hitting with melees

One of the nicest sniper rifles in the game and it’s consistently reliable. You might find issues with MOA and how the bullet travels on some guns like the sv-98

Due to a quirk of Russian gun laws it counts as a shotgun, same reason 366 exists (the barrel is smoothbore with a rifled choke and can be acquired with a shotgun permit instead of the harder to obtain rifle permit)
