Well map to map is unlikely, and one big map is just technically impossible with modern tech.

You have to spawn people dispersed enough on a map there’s no spawn killing. None of them can get super unfair access to the hotspots and good loot, so there has to be some balance there. Imo the spawn system works very well atm

40% of learning the map is physical (layout, extracts, loot, etc) - that comes pretty quick
The other 60% is how people behave on that map. (Where spawns channel to, hotspots, flow, timing etc.) that takes a bit longer

If you learn intently and with purpose, watching your deaths back, charting patterns, keeping your routes consistent and changing repeat failure points - you can get through it a lot faster than just playing mindlessly

don't repeek the same angle, also fighting bosses at long range is usually a bad idea, try to get close so you can peek one of them at a time and go for a quick headshot. Always have a way to push back if you get pushed by too many of them that's why you get cornered.

headphones (GGSH are cheapest), balaclava (naked heads stick out), PACA body armour, microrig of choice (If you have jaeger 2 I recomend the tarzan barter, stupidly cheap), tourniquet and bandage in your pockets on a hotkey, CAR medkit in the secure, spare stack of ammo in the secure and a budget weapon weapon of choice. (AKS 74U or SKS being your best bet).

Helmets are optional (ears are more important) and a fragmentation grenade is a very usefull tool but probably isn't part of the absolute basics.

You'll likely spend your entire first wipe just learning the basics. It takes a while, but if you stick with it, its very rewarding. Easy to get frustrated

Ground Zero, all starting quests are on Ground Zero. If you are below lvl 20, you will only be matched with other players below level 20 on Ground Zero.

if you got the flea market (which i doubt 4 days in) you can flip items for money

but at low lvl, especially without the market, there isnt many ways of getting gear and making money apart from scav runs

make sure to insure your gear, you'll end up making a profit eventually

I did the same thing my 1st like 4 scav raids lol, it happens. You can slowly raise it back up by surviving scav raids (obvoiusly you may now be playing run away and don't kill people. As well by killing "bad"scavs or extracting through vehicle as a pmc

As far as guns, look for dead bodies, large crates/boxes, lighthouse rogues have good stuff on them if you want to be brave. I have good luck with the black boxes and weapon crates on customs outside office on factory.

well, if your scav rep is low enough that ai scavs aggro on you don't kill them or your rep will continue to fall. Or at least don't do that when wipe happens, as of now it really may not matter anymore and you can just weapons free everything as a scav because it's about to go away anyhow

if its not too low run some pmc games and extract using car extracts, they increase your rep by 0.2 rep (0.2, then 0.1, then less etc. etc), it counts per map so using it once on 5 maps will give you +1.00 rep

Oh yea, you could certainly spend time on it.
From what I've heard of the current process (I became a sherpa before this era), it's quite a pain working your way up from helpful to recruit to sherpa. The Sherpa recruiters and mangagement are.... not great. And SherpaHub is the only place you can be, anything you do in this server doesn't matter. And SherpaHub is WAY more dead. So that's a pain. There's also a competition between sherpas for a reward, for the most people helped, but the people that win are often just people that spend as little time with new players as possible, and go through a bunch.
A lot of Sherpas are also only it in to pump their streams, which can be demoralizing when trying to improve the system.

If you like sherpa-ing, there's always plenty of new people in these beginners channels and no dumb oversight people making you do shit.
I understand wanting the green name. It's very cool. But it becomes a burden pretty quick.

All that said I have a bias, and if you really do like helping new people then why not just start down the Sherpa road at the same time? All those problems are more or less ignorable to a degree, if you just really enjoy helping people and want your name to be green too.
