So, when i add plates to armor, it the armor areas stay the same except for adding "plate" depending on the plate added. Where do plates actually cover? Does the front plate cover the front of every single armor area of that armor even if that wouldn't physically make sense? Or do plates exclusively cover the exact same part of your chest and back

the way that i understand it is that armors have internal (repairable, not replaceable) components and external components (plates, replaceable and repairable) and each individual armor has different area coverages

heavy armors tend to cover the groin and neck more and light armor tends to only cover different portions of thorax

most people are playing on ground zero to begin their starter quests, but there’s a different queue systems where pmcs start a lobby and scavs join those lobbies in progress and there’s only a certain number of spots for each

so if there’s nobody queuing or no lobbies in your selected map, it could take a minute

some regions are also more active than others where are you playing from

Just for starting always depends on task and location
there's a task where you need to go into dorms, i would use an smg or shotgun, there's another where you need to be on woods i wouldnt bring smg or shotgun there
CMS is a surgery item to heal blacked out limbs, but you need to heal with normal medkit as soon as you do surgery or your limb/stomach will get fucked again

if you dont have CMS or painkillers you're pretty fucked if your leg got blacked

painkillers tank your hydration and energy though, be sure to loot up food too in case

the best way to learn new maps is to go into single player and roam around and also doing scavs on them pull up a map and try to go to extracts
