both can work if played corectly and with the right loadout, when playing in sawmill you need to let his guards push you and them catch him at relatively close range, when from outside you need to find angles on positions he often sits in, wait for him to go there and preferably use a rangefinder to get an accurate firs killing shot

after enough of practice on woods, i recomend maybe even ofline, you will observe the most common spots shturman sits in, its like literally 5-6 spots and all he ever does is run between them or sit in them

when you figure that out you can play around that predictability

Pro tip: it's better to die than to go MIA. When MIA, insured gear doesn't get picked up and your after-raid hp is set to 1. If you die your stuff is still insured and you'll have a bit more hp

Always remember that ammo is way more important than guns, so choose guns based on what ammo you can buy.
Early on your best options are:

UMP-45s (buy Knives at Fence and trade to Peacekeeper) with FMJ is the best option, but the most costly,

Mosin from Prapor with LPS is great if you like bolt actions,

KEDR-B with PSV or PPSH with LRNPC are both good for close-range high-damage guns you can spray legs or face with.

If you can find good 5.45 or 7.62x39 then those are also options in the form of AK's and SKS's.

The game doesn't tell you this, but:
Ammo has 2 stats that really matter - Damage and Penetration.
Damage is the damage done to unarmored parts of the target.
Penetration is the ability of an ammo type to get through particular tiers of armor.

Both matter, and it's most important that you know what side of the spectrum your ammo leans.
If you're using penetration forward ammo you know you can aim for head and chest.
If you're using damage forward ammo you should be aiming for legs, face, or other exposed areas.
You can always check using eft-ammo.com

If you try using damage-based ammo to shoot people in the chest or helmet, you'll do nothing. And if you use penetration ammo on peoples legs, you'll do nothing. So it's just key to know what kind of ammo you're running

Make use of your scav. Loot if you want, the other option is just going to factory and extracting as soon as you spawn. You get your scavs gearset, increase your scav karma, and it takes almost no time

But looting as a scav can be crazy profitable

It's just that XP often matters much more than money, especially early on, so playing too much as a scav doesn't help

I heard that you shouldn't shoot other scavs for negative karma and so that they don't shoot at you.

When you're a scav all other scavs will be peaceful by default.
You gain Karma by extracting as a scav without killing peaceful scavs, using car or scav+pmc extracs, killing PMCs as a scav.
You lose Karma by killing peaceful scavs as a scav.

Pros of good Karma: Better Scav Karma means better scavs, quicker cooldowns and better gear on average. Quicker scav cases, cheaper extracts, and if you get to 6.0 karma bosses are friendly and a special fence market unlocks, though that's certainly not the primary benefit.
Cons of good Karma: You get executed by mean scavs from time to time and just have to take it.

Pros of Bad Karma: You can kill anyone you want and get their gear, which can be really helpful depending on your ability to fight scavs.
Cons of bad Karma: Worsening timers, worsening gear, slower scav cases, more expensive extracts and and -6.0 everything will treat you as hostile on sight.

When you build the workbench in your hideout it becomes much easier, as you get a whole UI for weapon modding. Until then, you can use this stat shown on items to see if it's compatible with anything in your inventory

If you hover over that arrow to the right, it will show any weapons in your inventory the attachment can go on

Just know that your options for weapon modding early on are very limited

Its a real shame that in a game thats suposed to be realistic, the most used method of fireing full auto guns irl (short controlled bursts) is absolutely unusable because of the recoil system making the first few shots have the most kick. When trying to start the game via launcher, its showing the initial loading screen picture, then the display turn off and on, but stays in black screen.

This is mostly a guess but I'm pretty sure it means that only a certain number of loot containers (like the duffel bags, weapon crates, etc) will be loaded in each game

so instead of every container being in a raid, it'll be a dice roll for whether a container loads in or not

just as a reference point im a player whit 5600hours and i get lvl 15 around 15/20 houres playtime depending on the keys i get from jackets ( qestkeys ) ar hard to get

there are peeps that are faster then me and there a lot more that are slower

If you want to get good gear you should really start learning tasks

But also i feel like pvp can be simplified pretty easily into who has an advantageous position and who can swing

So if you are on left hand you are in a bad position if they are on right hand. If you are both on right hand it depends on other factors, if you have right hand and are close enough try and swing, out door fights are much more complicated but in doors its somewhat simple
