My buddy just started playing and he's on low settings for everything, and can spawn into a Scav without any issues.
But when he tries to play PMC his game freezes up and he's running in place for like 60 seconds, causing him to be shot every time he solos in.

the only possible explanation that comes to my mind is that his CPU is bottle necked and if you join a game with all other pmcs alive and scavs spawning in he get some serious lag compared to joining late in the game, when most things are dead as a scav.
