Take your time looking around and move slowly and in cover. Woods is a hard one to see the shooter with only a 1x scope.
You're also way more noticeable running through the forest.

Any AK can be modified sufficiently. One thing you want to replace is teh handguardwith the AK-100 so you can add a foregrip, and the dustcover with the Bastion so you can add a scope

Money is very easy to make. If you want to guarantee profit, you can always enter the cycle of scavving and offline-PMCing. Scavving can only make you money, you can't lose anything. Offline is great for learning maps and getting good at killing scavs and scav bosses. This cycle is great to simply build up lots of money quickly while learning - which makes online PMCing far easier.
