@urban mica you're able to load into low-asset maps and not or only sometimes into high/mid level asset maps... that's telling that it's a hardware performance issue of some kind
whether updating to a SSD is enough to correct that, i really don't know; you may also have a gpu or cpu bottleneck

unpopular opinion: the folding bugs are actually a good step in the right direction
previously, guns folded if they were marked to fold... it didn't matter what stock was on them
there were plenty of stocks in the game that visibly had hinges but did not fold b/c of the gun they went on
the new code actually looks at the mods on the item before deciding it can fold
if you put a pso on an ak and fold the stock, you can see it actually collides in the model with the pso... so it kind of makes sense that it's not letting you fold/unfold in this state
there are kinks to be worked out for sure, but this is a step forward vs the old static fold marker on receivers

take off the butt pad and the dovetail mount, then you can fold
there's currently some collision problems now that stocks fold based on mods instead of yes/no based on receiver
(previously many stocks visibly had hinges but could not fold b/c they went on receivers not marked for folding)
if you unequip the dovetail mount and the buttpad, you can fold/unfold and re-equip them until the bugs are ironed out

its not even that, tarkov is only using 3gb of ram on factories. i can load into the game fine but when something happens (lets say i walk to gate 3), in between me walking ill just stop and the game freezes then my pc freezes for like 5 minutes

I just did the Anesthesia quest + Colleagues Pt1, however Colleagues didn't register as done when i got out of the raid. I did get the notifications ingame and i did survive my raid but on the quest screen of Therapist it hasn't updated at all.

BSG actually added sniper on customs, but you can`t kill him, because he is invisible NPC...
Only solution - avoid "sniper zones", you can find them, if you find "sniper signs / graffiti" (sniper crosshair picture)

hi! i'm pretty sure we're all bombarding this chat since 12.7, but a couple of things I wanted to ask if they already have a solution (or not)
first things first, stutters, i was playing great on 12.6 but since the update the game is hogging a core (as seen in the image) to 100% and i'm getting stutters now and then, when i turn, when i close my inventory, randomly walking, shooting, etc
second whenever I aim my screen starts flashing a little bit as if the brightness was changing all the time, not game breaking but kinda annoying
specs: i7 9750H, 16gb RAM 2666mhz, RTX 2060, game has been installed on an HDD since forever and never had any loading or drive related issues

the going recommendation is just to clear tarkov cache, but last person found that only partially effective (you can do this from launcher, top right menu under your name)
@delicate osprey right, game files are compressed on SSD, then when loading it extracts them, decompresses into memory, but you hit max and windows steps in and compresses them to page file, back onto SSD (assuming you only have 1 drive)
now you are reading and writing at the same time to the same device, which is doubling your time... then once loaded and you need to render, windows has to decompress the assets from page file and send them to gpu... so you have effectively tripled performance impact

Since patch 12.7, assembling weapons in preset screen does not add the chosen stock to weapon and glitches the weapon.
Has occurred for me while building AK-74M's and AKS-74U's on at least 6 occasions.
-PT Lock and Stocks purchased for weapon and assembled onto it disappear from inventory entirely.
-Manually added Stocks (PT-3 in these cases) are folded onto weapon and can not be unfolded (greyed out.)
-Disassembling weapon and assembling different presets does not fix weapon.
Have not tried taking weapon into raid and unfolding there.

@foggy steppe there are various issues with folding stocks and colliding with other mods at this time
previously, guns either folded or did not and it had nothing to do with what stock or mods were on it
the new code takes into account what mods are installed (which should let us fold some stocks that couldn't before)
the new code also has some bugs with collisions on butt pads and dovetail mounts
take those off, fold/unfold, then replace them
the error with preset assemble is more nuanced and has been around since prior to the 12.7 patch... it's just fucking goofy ๐ฆ
