Howdy y'all, I've played this game for 4 months, maining reserve and customs. I just recently started having such horrible stutters that the game is unplayable. It lags randomly, no matter if I'm inside and outside, running or standing still, and I usually have bad lag when aiming down sights. Here's what I tried:

Reinstalled twice

Tried around 4 different graphics settings including the ones I had originally

Tried playing different maps to see if it was just my PC having trouble with Reserve

If anyone had any other suggestions that would be great!

Is anybody else having severe lag issues since the patch? If I sit still for about 5 minutes the initial login lag seems to go down, but then whenever another player enters the screen, or I try to bring my weapon up, I start playing Escape from Powerpoint. It goes complete slideshow unless it completely stutters like it did before. anywher from 5-10 seconds of complete screen freeze with audio just fine. And 90% of the time I am just Dead, watching myself die in freeze frame.

Anyone experiencing a crash after mission extraction? I have done two scav runs this evening. For each one I was able to successfully extract. However, the 'Survived' screen never showed up. It displayed the 'loading loop' for a minute or so, but then crashed out crashed out to the desktop. I auto-submitted the bug report. One crash was after extract from Customs. The other was after extract from Interchange, so it does not seem to be map-specific. I was, however, able to extract successfully as a PMC a couple of times today.

sure, a 'stale' program can be swapped away (some inactive piece of your OS that's not doing anything) but those are usually really tiny OS software components

as soon as a game goes swapping to disk, your performance goes to hell, because your 25GB per second RAM is being replaced with 0.1GB per second HDD or 0.3GB per second SSD

that can't be helped.. the game needs RAM for all it's processes.. if it can't move around stuff in memory, things don't get updated.. the renderer keeps rendering your view and everything, but the game can't process any of it's updates...

manually delete game folder
reinstall the launcher, try do a fresh install from there
go in your launchers temp folder 'Battlestate Games\BsgLauncher\Temp' and clear it out

alternatively, if you're lucky enough to still have a 10gb .distr file in your temp folder you could try manually extracting it using winrar, overwriting your game folder

Hi guys, i don't know if this is the right channel to speak about that but, during 2 runs happened that everyone of my team (And probably the entire lobby since we are not playing from the same connection or computer ecc...) freeze and immediately after that everyone on my team saw everyone else (with everyone else i mean our team mates, scav and other pmc) running on spot or doing the same thing that they were doing before freezing, it end by dying without hearing ANY sound one after the other(Some of my teammates had steam audio on, i was playing without it so i don't think that it's an audio problem). The first time happened in interchange, and i can see clearly 2 of my teammates running on spot and another one running fine with me, he sad that he could clearly see me moving and the other 2 just stuck on the spot, so the same thing that i was seeing. The second happened in labs and after the freeze i could see clearly everyone stuck on spot but the end were the same, we die without hearing any sound. What we can do to avoid this situation? Maybe I had the odd stutter here and there. But it's every 5-10 second a that's fucking insane

This helped me alot but my game drops fps when i first load into game and my UI is laggy on stash still
