just had this happen to me. I was pretty annoyed, it happened right after installing a "Critical Launcher Update".

I managed to fix it by doing the following steps.

Downloading an up-to-date BSG Launcher from Battle State Games

Restarted my PC. (Probably don't have to do this)

Then install the launcher you just downloaded.

Open the launcher from the desktop. (If the error persists, don't worry; just try opening it again. I had to do it twice.)

Then hopefully it actually works and you can play!

I am the proud owner of an RTX 2060 and a Threadripper 2920X, slightly overclocked. I can only play Tarkov with 30FPS, when scoping in 22FPS.
Oddly enough, my quality settings DO NOT impact my framerate, and if they do, I haven't realized yet.
