I have recently noticed a large FPS drop in my gameplay over the past few days following an update I performed to my Nvidia Drivers, this was amazingly the first time I updated in 1 YEAR.
Since then, the game is taking up far more of the CPU Power, and I have had very low fps, previously I had a minimum of 40+ on all maps, now I can drop as low as 10 on maps like interchange...
Anyone else experienced this if so, any advice?

They are usually not this long, but a large influx of players overloaded the servers due to many people buying the game over advertisement
Give the devs two weeks to get servers under control and then if its been two weeks there is an issue, but for how much publicity the game has gotten, I'm not surprised the servers are having an issue @tacit frigate

You are going to need to make sure you have read and write privilege's for the user that the application launches with on that drive or the application will not be able to function correctly. Have you tried running it in administrator mode?

if you run into a bug make sure you report it through the EFTlauncher. @vivid briar Also you probably have a corrupt/missing file. try checking the integrity of your game files in the launcher

I also have found that it takes 20 minsr for the launcher to start up when I turn on my PC and the game usually takes like 10 mins to respond after that, on a good day.

When I first bought this game back in November I was having game crashes that would force restart my PC (not BSODs), 95% of the time it was while 'Loading Loot' once I was in game; I switched resolution and went from fullscreen to borderless window mode which seemed to fix that. Starting yesterday it has returned but is happening in all sorts of locations (Loading profile data/hideout/stash/map menus) Has anyone run in to this problem and found a solution? Anyone knows how to fix problem with... I got my items back via mail and I can't pick them up cuz I get 228 error related to item user ID.. If I take them back to stash.. I get error and get kicked out to main menu and then Items are gone. But if I restart I can see items and if I do the same thing.. the same thing happen.. kick to main menu and no items.. Items got stuck in mail.

Anyone having those odd launcher Errors, I'd reccomend you uninstall the launcher, redownload the downloader from the website and reinstall the launcher. A patch was rolled back recently and that may have broken some launchers.

It depends on both the e-mail you use, Gmail is HIGHLY reccomended, and I've got a theory that something is blocking the Launcher from getting the information it needs and as such can't send it to BSGs servers so they can send a authorization back to the email. But since I'm not a employee and not very adept at software work, I can't fix it or prove it.

@formal dagger I did what you suggested. I do not think its related, but when I rebooted and logged back on. My character had all his stuff gone, but his gamma case was full. Maybe it took some time for the server to register what happened? not sure.

retweet Hi all, I have managed to find a way to solve this issue every time (at least for me.) When it freezes, I hit ctrl+alt+del and then select Task manager. When you do that, it should kick you back to your desktop with the task manager window now open. I wait a few seconds and then alt+tab back and it usually get to the main menu in another second or two. Some people have stated that using alt+tab when it freezes fixes it for them, but it didn't work for me. But this method has worked 100% of the time. Hope it helps people

Open task manager, right click Escape From Tarkov and click properties

End task for Escape From Tarkov (Note: do not close the BSG Launcher, just end task for the game, make sure your settings are set to always have the launcher open)

In properties, click compatibility, check the run as administrator box, then click Run combatibility troubleshooter, select "Try recommended settings" followed by Test the program.
If this doesn't work, try running escape from tarkov, quickly exiting, and immediately after exiting, click "Test the program". If need be, I can make a YouTube video for you so you can see. Channel is called MARINOP

When you start the game via the launcher, click on the symbol in the task bar below as often as possible.
the first time a white window opens that hangs and then crashes. then you repeat the process and the game works ..

when its after a session lost, give up and confirm leave then you can search again.
