New to game, so this may not be new thing, but suddenly PMC fight froze, but like, I could walk around, couldn't kill the PMCs, but i could loot their bodies, search items, everything. Was able to loot quite a bit but then died to Killa even though there was no killa, (at least on my screen) and no gunshots heard. Just all of a sudden the health HUD showed up with my chest and arms getting lit up. Then dead.

The issue is that it could've been a change to the game which made something incompatable, it could've been a network change of some sort, or software upgrade on your end that killed frames.

The issue with that is, many connection issues are client side, usually brought about from DNS fuckery or odd network structures.

It's basically cleaning out your DNSs backlog of cached connections, so if Tarkov say changed what IP it wants you to connect to, your computer won't waste time attempting to connect to Tarkovs old connections and will just make the new one and make it default.

You need to set the path to the game folder after that and hope it fixes itself, but if not, try to uninstall the game or remove the game folder and run this script again (you need to reinstall the whole game then). Just stay away from the game files in the future.

Desyncs like that seem very random. From my experience it is often caused by an unstable connection the server can't handle well, but I am sure there will be a hotfix for that

@vivid briar some parts can't be modded in raid, especially not things like gas tubes or pistol grips. You can swap things like suppressors, scopes or stocks in raid most of the time though.

@wooden narwhal there is fragmentation and keep in mind that relying only on armour is a bad idea, since it is meant as an "emergency protection" and that you should try to find other ways to survive a firefight first.
@vivid briar just use one that you feel comfortable with.

@inner kraken 70-80fps is expected for your hardware. You will not get 144Hz with any hardware in Tarkov and most people hover at around 70-80fps actually. You can check if you can use any kind of "sync" technology, like "Freesync", "Fast Sync" or "G-Sync", to make it feel a bit better.

about not getting my gamma case after upgrading, but everything else worked fine (vendors, stash ,etc)
