There's a specific 9700k issue where if 8 cores are running the game crashes every 5-10mins in raid or in the menu. If you go into msconfig and set processor core count to 4 the game no longer crashes at all. I have not encountered this issue with any other game and it needs to be looked into by the tarkov or unity devs (game ran fine on my 9700k with all 8 cores enabled before .12).

@night peak yes I did.. All you have to do is start to move all items from the inventory to the stash and the error "Item Moving" will prompt and then the screen will be refreshed

I've been having problems connecting. What'll happen is I'll cue up for a raid, everything will load, but Midway through creating loot pools I'll loose connection to the server. Some times I'm able to reconnect, but at that point there's usually only about 20 minutes left in the raid. I don't have a problem going offline, but online is a whole different story. When I do connect first try it'll be too stuttery to play. I've tried using the built in ram cleaner, my own ram cleaner, over clocking my CPU, but nothing seems to work

@teal rose When I go to load up the game sometimes it crashes, when I get into game it works perfectly fine. But when I go to disconnect it will crash. I have no valid reason on why it would crash, I’ve literally tried everything in my power to fix it

Updated all of my drivers, no processes running the background. I reinstalled windows and downloaded only tarkov and had only tarkov running in the background

Doesn’t show any message, the picture is what shows up when it crashes. No other game has any issues, I play CSGO, and Forza Horizon 4 without any issues
The game also worked before .12, so there’s no reason my computer wouldn’t be able to run it. I thought it could of been my RAM where I was running only 8, I went and bought 16 put it in yesterday but again to no avail

Can you try the following: Download and start "Windows Sysinternals Process Explorer". Start the launcher and it should appear in the process explorer window somewhere. Scroll down to it and watch it while you launch the game (a second monitor would definitely help, otherwise launch the game in windowed mode). Ideally, "EscapeFromTarkov_BE" should appear below it and "EscapeFromTarkov" shortly after that. "EscapeFromTarkov" should be moved to a different position and "UnityCrashHandler64" should appear below it after that. Can you check if the same happens for you or if some step is missing when the game crashes?

i use my big ass samsung tv as a montior. sharpening it has isnt great ether. plus, from what iv read. ad delay. i dont understand how you run 0 sharpening. even without taa and 4k, this game has some weird blur over everything, it hit me smack in the face since i first opened the game 😄

Because I had a 3 man team where he dropped me and my team-mate within a second of eachother, both with one tap headshots, then the same thing with my friend as soon as he popped his head up. Same guy each kill.

The issue is they've had to build most of their systems, themselves, from the bottom up. Everything was going relatively smooth until the engine switch that broke quite a lot, it'll take time to smooth out again.

my guess is that it didn't register that I took it off the muzzle before I closed my game and was technically missing "vital parts"

Well, they are finally adding more of the planned survival elements, including having to take care of your PMC out of raid.
The ballistics chart is an entirely community-made list based on tests afaik. You can make an estimate based on the new ammo list, but that will most likely not be "accurate" at all. I would recommend you to play around with different ammunition yourself and find some that work for you instead of relying on lists based on data collected in perfect scenarios (though it definitely gives you a rough idea, like for example that 5.45 PP is better than 5.45 PRS in general). @vivid briar

Of course, it's a rather "big" bullet and penetrates better compared to others. An AK round in the face hurts no matter what helmet you have and trusting a helmet to magically protect you from death no matter what happens isn't something I would recommend anyway, though maybe some people in #eft-chat probably can help you with what armour and ammunition to use when and where a bit better when it comes to pure stats. At least that's my opinion when it comes to armour and ammunition.
@weary wagon is anything running in the background or did you change anything? You can try different fullscreen modes as well since especially pure fullscreen is known for some issues right now.

Sadly, issues like that are quite common right now and the Devs are working on fixes. You can't do too much, sadly. You can play around with settings and make sure you didn't mess anything else up in the BIOS, but if nothing helps, even reinstalling Tarkov could be worth a try.

Anyone noticed it seems like tarkov can start in borderless mode even when setting is full screen. If this happens i can change to borderless in settings, nothing happens really. And i set it to full screen again, its like render restarts plus my colors get affected by hdr or something?

Try to clear the cache using the launcher and make sure you disabled the auto RAM cleaner (and are NOT using any kind of ram cleaner software in the background and are not running the game from a batch file you found online). As mentioned before, try to use windowed borderless and play around with the core affinity options.

I accept armor and helmets, aslo the fact they are working on it and testing things, np with that.
I try to point out the " high " penetration value that a basic ammo has compared to " high tier " and " low tier " around calibers.
To be clear, 7.62 PS is used by 80% players will go with ( as scav or pmcs ) on my opinion, "high tier" ammunition that are quest related are used by a less amount of player.
When i see the stats, i feel like PS is overpowered ( and the cheapier ) compared to others bullets or higher calibers
Also wearing 2 layers of a level 3 protections, a 33 penetration bullet that has 0.8% chances to penetrate, go through 2 times with Rmed and High chances to ricochet, it's a miracle or something didn't work out correctly

Yeah that is pretty common when weapons glitch. Every time you put a weapon in there it will be reset, no matter if you put it back shortly after that. Just put a weapon in your second slot without even touching your first slot and do a raid where you move the weapon into the first slot and run to the exit.
You can try to die in a raid as well.

I'm afraid I don't know a good or 100% working solution for the issues.. There are definitely memory issues right now becuase it "only" uses ~6GB of RAM on Customs on rather high settings in 1440p for me on a working installation. I don't know if there is anything one can do about the issues right now other than waiting or trying seemingly random. Just a small "check list" of things worth trying, I guess: Disable any kind of overclock, do an integrity check, clear the cache, delete the configs, reinstall the game, change the game server, change the DNS server.

For example your head has just 2 HP left, you are bleeding but the rest of your body is completely fine. Waiting a little while leads to your head being destroyed while the rest is fine. Any kind of damage (even a single point of damage) to your head will kill you though.

I recommend you to install the launcher and game in a different location after that, like C:\Program Files\BsgLauncher for the launcher and C:\Program Files\EscapeFromTarkov for the game.

I've been having this issue for a year now. Whenever I try to update/launch/install the game on my computer, I get one of two errors:

Issues launching the game.
Game and launcher is up to date. But when I click play, it just sits there with the spinning processing mouse cursor and does nothing. Basically locks up my pc. So I have to restart my system to get control again. Because it won't even let me end the task in task manager.

I've reinstalled both the launcher and the game already.

Alright, try to delete your local.ini file in your Documents > Escape From Tarkov folder.
If that doesn't work, you can try a config that launches the game in windowed mode. I can send one in here then.

@summer jacinth if you delete the config it won't redownload it. It will create a new one when you launch the game. Just hit "play".

It was fine after .12 launched, but then a hotfix was launched like a day or two after and I've had this issue.

Just adjust your settings. You can try to OC again, but keep in mind that Tarkov is very prone to stability issues caused by OC.
I myself had to add a bit of voltage to get my OC working fine in Tarkov.

If you already installed it, you can try to just move the folder over and hit "select path to an existing installation" (or something like that) in the launcher.

Can you try to go into your AppData > Roaming folder and try to delete the "Battlestate Games" folder? You need to log in again after that if you chose to save your login.

It looks like you selected "set path to existing installation" instead of "install".
Just click Install and select the EFT folder you created.

That's caused by desynch between you and the item server. What region are you in?
