Alright, try to go into your bios (should be possible on windows by performing an "advanced restart" from your settings) and check for things like "pcie lane configuration". Check what options there are. The description should explain the options, make sure you select one that clearly states that there will be lanes available to your M.2 slot as well as to your PCIe slot (like x8 + x8, for example)

Also, do you have a link to the manufacturers page of your laptop?

You don't "hack" anything, it is just that computers or motherboards reserve bandwidth for specific slots that are configured in the bios. Some configuration could cause issues, so it is good to double-check everything is configured correctly.

I never saw something like that, but you can kind of figure it out or guess for each item (or just make a list yourself?). Medics and basic items that are not really related to weapons and equipment can be bought by therapist and I think prapor and mechanic (maybe ragman?). I think all weapons and weapon mods can be bought by peacekeeper, mechanic and prapor and some by skier (I don't know which ones exactly, but I am sure there is some logic behind it). Equipment like tactical rigs, armour, helmets etc. can be bought by ragman and skier if the quality is above a specific %. And fence buys pretty much everything (maybe a hand full of items can not). Empty ammunition packages can't be bought by anyone afaik.

For buying you either use the context menu to search linked items ( that will redirect you to the FLEA ) and click on Show traders offers to know who sell cheapier what you need, or you get used to know what traders sells what equipment you need.

Remind that your Charisma level skill will decrease traders's price for buying equipment and that FLEA prices decrease/increase over the time the traders price

At least in my opinion 😄 The motherboard doesn't really matter too much, you just need one that is stable with the CPU you want to use and doesn't get too hot

I would not recommend too cheap motherboards, but the msi b450 gaming plus series is well known and does really well with all CPUs up to non-overclocked 3800X

It says there are "compatibility issues" because the chipset (B450) only supports the ryzen 3000 series after a specific bios update. Most motherboards already come with this update while others need to be updated before it will work with these CPUs (you need an older CPU in that case). The motherboard I put in the list can be updated without having a cpu installed, so you don't even need an old cpu is you need to update the bios

For motherboards and power supplies, you can pretty much say there is a lower boundary about what you should use and what not depending on your CPU, but everything above doesn't really matter too much or is for specific use cases (like SLI/Crossfire or high overclocks, for example).

Usually it works and it will probably get a good amount of power, but it is not recommended, of course. If possible, get a new PSU, because a PSU without 2 8-pin cables is most likely not safe and good enough to handle a system like that

Well, luger doesn't penetrate as well as other ammunition, but many people also say the stat screen is a bit bugged. It definitely was a few months ago, but nowadays it seems quite accurate imo. Something similar happened to me as well though.. But it was a scav with a superman cap that absorbed 600 dmg from BS rounds appearently.

You need to update your bios no matter which motherboard you choose. The motherboard I suggested has this "bios flashback", a method to update the bios without the need of an older CPU

Also I think you confuse motherboard and cpu. The big plate is the motherboard, where all your components sit on and the cpu is the little chip you need to put on your motherboard

In order to update your bios using "bios flashback" you just need to copy the newest bios file onto an empty usb stick, put the usb stick into your motherboard and turn it on while holding a button (or something along those lines). You don't need a cpu, graphics card or ram installed to do that. You just need to connect it to your power supply (psu), of course, and probably the power button of your pc case.

You can try to reinstall just the anticheat. You can find the scripts/.bat-files in your EFT -> BattlEye directory

You can also try to random things, of course, like checking the game files for issues using the launcher or disabling the firewall for a few minutes just to rule things out

You can try to delete the config file of your launcher, it is located in AppData > Roaming > Battlestate Games > BsgLauncher and called settings. You need to log in and adjust your launcher settings again after you deleted the file. Keep in mind to never EVER send this file to anyone, no matter who asks for it.

You can try to disable SSAO and SSR (keep contact SSAO on at least low, it give a nice visual improvement). You don't really need to set the overall visibility to anything higher than 1000, maybe 1500 on shoreline. The shadow visibilty should be fine at around 75-100. You can easily set the textures to high and the shadow quality to medium-high. AA to FXAA and anisotropic filtering to on. That should give you decent results

A good way to check if the shadow visibility is fine is to go to the parking lot on interchange. Just set it to the lowest value where you don't see weird bright walls in the distance

That's a long standing issue. If memory serves it's hopefully gonna be fixed with the engine upgrade for unity. Idk if there's any workarounds or fixes for it anymore but maybe someone else does.

Yeah 0.12 (the next update) will improve a lot. As long they don't use a completely different technique for scopes/zoom, there will always be noticable fps drops. You can't do much other than setting the settings low enough so the low fps while scoping are high enough for you to not notice or be fine with them.

But keep in mind that the current technique provides much better quality and flexibility than other, faster techniques.

@untold rose it's great that you can reproduce the issue! You should definitely report it using the launcher. I will try to reproduce it myself as soon as I am in windows again

Try to enable the auto ram cleaner, set the view distance to max. 1000, the lod quality to 2 and the shadow distance to around 70-80. You can also try to set the texture and shadow quality to medium with your card @vivid briar

That should make it a bit better if you are using higher settings right now

I've only got 8 gigs of ram, that means maps like shoreline and interchange can never load in time for me, usually I take 3 minutes "Awaiting session start" to actually spawn

and when I do, everyone's standing in place, my team mates can see me move, interact, drop things, but I can only see them walking in place, maybe where they were when I spawned in

any tips to fix this? its extremely fucking annoying

8 GB is definitely considered not enough for gaming nowadays. You should definitely enable the auto ram cleaner

You can close your game and change the fullscreen mode in your launcher settings (I recommend windowed fullscreen). There is also a key-combination to toggle fullscreen for windows, but I don't know it right now

One thing you keep in mind when you use windowed fullscreen and alt-tab a lot is that the mouse doesn't get "captured" (stuck in the middle of the screen while being invisble) when you alt-tab back. You need to close a menu to capture it again. The easiest way to prevent that issue is to only alt-tab when being inside a menu (inventory, settings etc.), because then you need to close the menu when you alt-tab back anyway.

I downloaded the launcher and installed it on my D drive, now im trying to install the game next to it, but it forces me to install it on the C drive, and i cannot change it due to an error. After trying to install it on the C drive i got a checksum error and have to redownload everything

What exactly is the issue? Did all your items disappear?

Or are you talking about the weird textures (mostly the really black, thick borders of the little squares)? If so, that is because of the low screen resolution (usually happens in 1680x1050 and lower)

If it is about the items, you should contact the support via the launcher or email. You can also try the modmail here on this discord (just message @mellow tundra )

When im trying to launch the launcher its says:"the launcher must be run from" when im trying to launch as admin its works but asks to repair the game, also when im pressing external links from the launcher its says:"application not found" and then the launcher crashes.

Did you move your launcher to a different folder/disk?

If so, you need to reinstall the launcher, because it remembers its last place and refuses to launch.

And reinstalling it could be enough to fix the bug you have even if you didn't move it. Just make sure you set the path to the eft installation after you reinstalled the launcher so it doesn't reinstall the game as well.

That's weird.. You could try to remove the registry key containing the path where the launcher is installed (uninstall the launcher first), but I am not on windows right now and can't check where exactly you can find it. You can try to search for it yourself, start with "Hkey_Current_User > Software > Battlestate Games > (something)", but be careful. Only delete things (on the right side) you are sure about could be the path of the installation folder. Each "folder" in the list on the left side has its own values on the right side, so make sure you check the "Battlestate Games" "folder" as well as its "sub-folders". Also delete the "Battlestate Games" folder in your "AppData > Temp" directory (in your actual file explorer, not in the registry anymore!). After you did all that, install the launcher again and hope there was just an issue in your registry and temporary files. If it still doesn't work, you should just contact the support, either via email, their website or @mellow tundra

Auto Voice Channels

I'm a bot that allows you to dynamically and infinitely create voice channels as you need them, and automatically delete them as soon as they are no longer used.

Simply join a voice channel of mine and I'll create a new one for you and move you to it.
