i went into a scav raid on reserve and when i got in, the map was see through, my hands was holding an invisible gun and the hud was gone. Then after the hud came back and i could move but if i would check magazine or do literally anything my gun would go into the position in the picture above. I couldn't open my inventory or any container for that matter, if i tried to aim the gun would still be in that weird position and i wouldn't be able to see anything. Shooting would either fix it temporarily or fix it until i checked mag again and then it would go back to staying locked like that.

happens to me a lot of times, this tends to happen apparently from insufficient RAM going into the game (some people have told me) so when you get into the raid, technically your character has not been put into the raid even when you are in the raid, its takes a couple of minutes to fix itself (DONT MOVE ANYTHING IN YOUR INVENTORY OR ELSE YOU WILL BUGGED AND CANNOT INTERACT WITH ANYTHING IN YOUR INVENTORY IE EATING OR APPLYING MEDICAL) so when it fixes itself and completely puts your items back, the first thing youll notice is your gun is always sticking up in the air, thats normally when you are looting/looking through your inventory (you could not look into your inventory to fix this problem when you first load in but idk if it does work) however if you wanna fix this issue you need to shoot (but i rather melee so i dont give out my position) then youll have pause the game, get out of the pause menu (putting you in your inventory) then click your inventory button and check if you can move items, if you can, the problem is fixed

How to fix crashing while loading into a scav raid? Not related to my pc specs been over this before. Sometimes when I load into only scav, it will just freeze my game and stop responding making me have to task manager it. I load back into eft, try to reconnect but does the same thing and once I relaunch the game again it just voids my scav run and adds a cooldown timer.

Either the sfc /scannow command would fix windows files, or chkdsk C: would show errors or the permissions for the folder are not set

So there's a theory to the "awaiting session start" bug/crash and it's as follows - so many of us are aware it crashes when loading on a scav, but from what i've gathered this only happens IF your first run is on a scav, i've tested this multiple times today and it could well be true or coincidence. Nethetheless it might be worth keeping in mind, so start with a PMC raid and your scav should load in with no issues. - Just to clarify this is a WIP theory that has worked for me "so far"

Did you follow the instructions correctly. You need to restart the pc after changing the registry value. It has to be under the correct key and have a decimal value > 2. It doesn't need to be 60 as in the article, I set mine to 30. The 5 people so far I play with regularly who have only started seeing this issue with the latest patch has been resolved after applying this. Of course, your issue could be something else but strange considering its exactly the same symptoms.

This is my fourth wipe and never had this issue before until latest patch.

Its not that weird, it just adjusts the time the game waits (actually any software requesting access to the GPU) to become available.

adding page file is the way to improve stutters, but this sounds like a gpu driver issue

Try adding 16000MB minimum and 25000MB maximum page file to an SSD as shown here and reboot:

I already have a new 2 tb 990 m.2, 32 gb vengeance lpx cl 16 ram, ryzen 5 5600x (temporary until i can afford better) and an asus b550-f gaming mobo. the 4060ti I found was like 370$ ish. the 3060 ti is 320$, and the 6700xt is 320$

im curious if the multi render capability of the 6700xt would help specifically with tarkov.

not particularly, you'd mainly get a boost in performance from moving to a 5800x3d or 5600x3d if you're in the US, the x3d chips have a very large l3 cache which some games like tarkov in particular can like, for the gpus at that price range you'd be best off with the 6700xt, you'll get on par performance with a 3070 and you'll be trading blows in different games against the 4060ti, you'll still have 12gb of vram in the 6700xt which will be plenty, in games where the 4060ti runs better, its 15 frames more at maximum

Try manually setting your VRAM limit to 24000 if you have 16GB ram.
