my advice would be don't put too much pressure on you. I'm not a gym fan but if it works for you :) I usually was on the treadmill or bicycle :/ walking downtown or in nature works better for me, counting steps while listening to podcasts or one song on repeat

i just wanted to share I am experiencing ongoing breach at home, I believe strongly that Amazon Alexa and Security camera in home which i setup to keep eye on kid has been compromised by my office chaps and they heard / listen whatever we have talked about, i got to know when the similar things were refrenced in a diffrent context multiple times by my collegaues and friend in office, may be they want to mkae prank etc or soemthing, However I didnt like it and reported to HR and now HR is asking for evidence , what to do ? how can i get evvidence of compromise from alexa ?

In this case, my own gut feeling says that it is highly unlikely - people cannot just hack into Alexa. If it were so easy, these techniques would be out on the streets for everyone to know. By then, I will be in a job and will have my first or second paycheck. The learning is important to me more than the exam.

Everyone is different, but I'm definitely having fun on this site. To be honest, I haven't stuck with a course that as I have with this course. So something must be going right. 🙂

I like having hands on examples. And for getting started with something new, the step-by-step instructions are great. So THM has been a great place to start.

As tasks get more complex, I'm running into some frustrations. Crashing VMs, sequences of commands that don't work anymore. And then attempting a challenge room (the ones that just say: get the user flag, get the root flag), even an easy one, seems a big jump up from the tutorials? I've gotten stuck often. You can look at a walkthrough of course, and that is helpful. Perhaps 1 in 5, I can solve blind? I'd like to get that to 5 / 5. Most likely this just takes time, and getting familiar with the "patterns" and "problem categories" used in CTF. Similar to how a code exam in an interview is not really the same problem you'd be having in a day-to-day job.

NoScope's website says that THM user data was used with consent, but I'm struggling to find any consent management on my account aside from cookie consent. I crawled the pages in the sitemap.xml to search for a legal page with terms that I may have missed, along with my email for terms updates and the closest thing I found was the "AI Terms of Use" page, which does not support anything related to user data being used in model training and isn't even in the sitemap. It seems to specifically be addressing AI-enabled products and their output, like the hint system. My Google Dorking efforts have yielded no legal pages that I haven't already reviewed.

Am I missing a legal page here where this consent was at least accepted by continued use of the platform?

Finished watching the video. Tbh I was afraid of ai in the cyber sec industry. Not only ai pentesting tools but also for soc analysts. I like how Tyler explains how we shouldn't give up learning. And how he approaches the topic of a good leadership. When it comes to using our data.. I don't really know what to say. The entire experience feel like the uncanny valley to me.
I'm not going to delete my account, I was planning to take the sec0 cert and after that sal1. I still enjoy rooms here, but will make a new HTB account. I also like how the HTB server looks and their engagement with followers.
In the end I think it's good to branch out, join many communities and learn and adapt.

That's what's got me a little confused. Statistically, if millions of users were contacted, I feel like someone likely would have said something, even under NDA because users are humans who talk and this isn't the government. Not to say it hasn't happened, but at the scale of millions, I'm just not seeing what I'd expect to see otherwise.

Failed the bus driving test, but hey-ho, such as life. It was mainly because of speed. Apart from that, it's been good. I'm back to studying the pathway, and still enjoying it.

It's not going to be forever. I'm just wanting to earn some money while I study for the future career that I really want, i.e., bug bounty or penetration tester. Probably more likely will be bug bounty, although I'm going to see how I fare in that, as I know that is a hard area to break into, but I'm up for a challenge!!

that's good to hear, just make sure you stick with it and try not to let the other jobs wear you down. Sights on your goal always, I've seen too many people say they just need a job to get by and it ends up consuming them as they watch the years go by

It's so satisfying to just coast down main street. And it actually gets really good gas mileage. We got 35 mpg last tank. But we still have to refuel it a lot, because it's gas tank is somewhere around 9 gallons.
