guys seriously i am very confused, i watched youtube video and it tells me that tryhackme dont go in details so to go in depth i can go through Comptia A+, Network+, linux +, security +. So this is better than the free roadmap of tryhackme. I started the free roadmap, but in fact it doesnt go in too much details. It been a few days i am wondering which way i start , because i wsnt to start the Good way not a way that is uneficient

thm is for cybersec, a+, network+, and linux+ is not cybersec, you use some elements of networking and linux in cybersec but using thm won't get you ready for those cert if that's your goal

yes, I believe those are only the fundamentals (of cybersec) though, and to progress further requires knowledge of more advanced topics that aren't covered by these.

yes, but you were talking about certs, thm has rooms about linux fundamentals, networks, etc but that's it fundamentals and the barely minimal because it's not really the place to go deep on those subjects, having a deep understanding of those subjects will benefit greatly in cybersec

you don't understand, I told you having a deep understanding of those subjects will benefit greatly in cybersec, they are important, but they are huge subjects, so thm can't tackle them deeply because they are subjects on their own outside cybesec, so thm gives you the fundamental just in case, but that's the bare minimal, to be good you need more

I don't think the recommended time given by the room is very accurate. Spending time in the OWASP Top 10 rooms is significantly too long (compared to the Nmap series of rooms)

Yeah , that depends on you but I would recommend as much as you possibly can . You don't necessarily need to spend time on THM but you should spend it on gaining some new knowledge 🙂
