I downloaded player (in linux mint) to give it a try, but when it wants to install a component or an update, it asks for your password (su privilege) on its own window, in contrast to literally every other program I've used, which asks for a password on my system's window. Do you think that's a security concern?

It's asking for my user's password (with sudo privileges) to install something. That's normal. But it's asking for it in its own window, not my system's window which I'm used to
