Hi guys, I have a windows pc with a kali linux vm on it. The openvpn is installed no my windows. The kali vm switch is on internal network. However when i am trying to do an exploit with metasploit, it cannot open a meterpreter shell. Error is: exploiit completed but no session has been created. Is it possible to make it work with the current setup? I was thinkign to put my kali vm on external network and download openvpn directly on the vm. Any suggestions/comments?

Does anyone know of a good burp checklist for setting up a connection, I followed one before, and it worked one time. I can't get it to forward any more req's to browser, although it definitely intercepts the req's.
I set burp listener, i set the proxy to direct to the new ip address of the vm i'm trying to interact with. I set the browser to connect to it. I make the req, and its intercepted, but nothing ever comes back (even if i click forward)
in burp though, i can read the whole response

@pliant aspen Not always, sometimes they give false positives. Try scanning without flags then use the-pcommand to scan any ports you found separately. Also not related to tech-support ask in #general

My problem was that I tried connecting to TryHackMe with openvpn but it was waiting for some kind of respond, I don't remember what exactly. I checked my connection, verified my account because I hadn't done that, and then I tried to regenerate my configuration file, which I managed to do. After that I tried to download my config file but the website redirects me to a web page that says Error 404 lost in the matrix hahahahah

So, are you familiar with how file paths work in Windows? (i.e. every time you open up windows explorer, you see something like C:\Users\smack\My Documents?)
file paths work exactly the same almost in linux
a lot of times, you'll have to be very specific with files and folders if you want to "target" a file
but there are shortcuts- ./ will always mean the current directory that you are located in. It is basically a shortcut that stands for pwd
if you type pwd, you'll see the full path/location that you are located at, and that's exactly the same thing as ./

I found a workaround for now I guess. I was able to deploy a machine through the "kali machine" room and then access it through the browser. Going to the My machine site still doesn't work for now.

Yes. You need to enable pasting/copying in your browser. If you're using the new attack box then I believe you need to use a specific tool on the machine but I'm not sure.
