I know for vulnversity the webserver isn't on the default port, so you will have to specify that when connecting via your browser

@leaden token This has definitely helped. Two days back i tried "Splunk" room and webpage never loaded. I just gave up on that thinking that machine is low resources since i was a free user then, Had some other issues with ssh getting stuck as well. Then last night i had subscribed. Just now i tried Splunk again and guess what web page is loading fine now. So all good for now 🙂

Someone else was just asking about this in another forum. Short answer is it does work. I need to spin up a new Kali image to remember. I know on 2019.4 I had to change default java version, and run in from a .jar file command. I thought in the 2020.1 version it ran with no effort.

I am trying to connect to the machine which I deployed. I have connected to the VPN but still not able to connect to Tryhackme environment. I have regenerated the VPN keys but still it is not helping. Also, checked my proxy settings and there's no proxy present. It was working fine just an hour back but now I am stuck with this. I'm in the room "Tony the Tiger/CerealCTF-LinuxV2" and I am attempting to scan port 8080 but the port is closed. I have restarted the box and my vpn connection, no go. Also no known issues. Not sure if I'm doing it wrong or something

find room q6:

Find all files with write permission for the group "others", regardless of any other permissions, with extension ".sh" (use symbolic format) I have tried:find / -type f -name -perm /g+w ".sh" and it's not accepting this answer and as per write up: find / -type f -perm -o=w -name “.sh” still no go. Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong here
