When connected to the target machine through my local VM (using openvpn), Nmap scans take forever to return results. In fact the result is never even produced!

On the other hand, if the same scan is done on attackbox it takes a few seconds.

Any way I can fix this?

That may depend on the flags that you're using . Of course , it can't be as fast as on AttackBox since AttackBox is attached directly to the same network as the target machine

Hello, I was wondering if I could perhaps have some help with uploading a VM. I'm trying to create a room, and right now I'm trying to set up a machine to SSH into. I've created it in oraclebox (Ubuntu 22.04), set up SSH and such, but when I upload it to THM and try and start it in the room it says "Oh no, an error occurred while starting VM: Invalid parameter value." Hey folks, looks like there is some issue with openvpn routing to hosts 10.10.1xy.z, found previous complaints but haven't seen any solutions. Routing table looks reasonable on my VM (10.10.0.0/16 via 10.2.0.1). Can't reach machine on 10.10.211.86. Traceroute stops on 10.2.0.1 as well.

Hi all, ran into a problem, OpenVpn is not working, specifically I can't ping any of the machines. I used all the commands from the https://help.tryhackme.com/en/articles/6496058-troubleshooting-openvpn-on-linux-and-mac instructions, but it didn't work for me.

MTU value failed at 1000, aborting mtu check.

trying to do https://tryhackme.com/room/catpictures but the server at 8080 with the forum is vary slow and I have only managed to connect to the site once via the browser, restarted the machine and gave it about 15 minutes before I touched it but the same thing again. Can ping it and it is up according to nmap -p 8080 <IP>, gobister worked for a while then it also stopped responding.

At first, I exploited the machine without looking at what I was supposed to do. I accidentally found another way for privilege escalation, I thought to report you guys, and if possible, then add it as a secondary or bonus method!

For the exploit, I have my own single-file exploit on my GitHub, and I also have a PDF PoC for what I did. So what can you do here? If you consider this, then I can talk to someone personally on this, so do let me know.
