Yes, by host I am pertaining to the machine you are using to host the VM you use to connect to the THM network. In the THM use-case, I'd say bridged is better as you are directly connecting it to the THM network thus maintaining the isolation from your host (as it treats it as a separate device) as opposed to NAT where you are using the FW of your host to protect your VM. That's how I understand it.

If you look at the left of the split-screen view, there's a little tab that you can slide out. You need to use that to parse keyboard shortcuts in split-screen view, or, you can press the two arrows button at the bottom to expand it into full screen - keyboard shortcuts should passthrough okay 🙂

It will definitely help, but then again, it depends whether the VM is more important to you than the host I suppose. Also, you have to consider the use case of having the VM in the first place. In my case, it is purely for learning and experimentation purposes.

In the exact same situation. There is a bug in the subscription system thats causing this (due to the email change).
Took them 7days for the first ticket for them to see and reply. They did initiate a refund and ask me to try subscribing again.
But the issue on the site is still not fixed. So Back to waiting for their reply since two more transactions with different payment methods didn't work either.

On your invoice issue, did you subscribe and still waiting for activation? Or something along those lines? If you've sent an email to THM Support, please be patient as the standard response time is at ~8 to 9 working days at the moment due to the AoC event. During the time, do not send any follow up emails until after said SLA has passed as it will result in your ticket being pushed down the queue.

If you want to have the country set to somewhere you do not currently reside you would probably have to trick the API by running a VPN from the country you want to show up and then go to link

After these messages, I can't see my machine anywhere and the "Start machine" button is grayed out. I want to restart the machine but I don't know where to look. Where can I see my started machines so that I can stop and restart them? Is this a bug?

Hey. I have noticed something weird with the website. If I open tryhackme on my machine (mac) with Safari - everything is good. But when I try to use Kali on a VM, open the website with Firefox, I get weird bugs like - the IP of the machine is not shown, when I submit a question and then refresh the page - the questions are reset (no submissions). Any ideas why this might be?

Have you tried the browser in your kali VM in other sites to make sure the problem isn't isolated or limited to THM? How have you configured the kali VM on your host?

I can open tryhackme.com and other websites just fine. The problem is when I submit questions or run machines. Some sort of visual bug I guess, because when I submit a question trough the VM's Firefox, I see it as submitted in the host Safari browser

I always click “Terminate Machine” at the end of a lesson (specifically for AOC23) but I will get popups on the site after I’ve already terminated that state my machine is running out of time for the day.

Does the limit of 1 hour tie to the first initialization of a machine regardless of how long it runs?

It corresponds to the use of the VM attached to the task (assuming you are not talking about the Attackbox). If you've already terminated it and not having issues spinning up other VMs, you're all good.
