goldeen & seaking are both great and i honestly think the hate is unfounded, maybe they underperform from a gameplay perspective esp. compared to some other pokemon, but theyve got great designs. seaking's fins and spot patterns are cooool

and i think when you get lost in looking at pokemon in a competitive bubble, analyzing base stats and movepools and max potential, you completely lose what the pokemon's intentions are in the context of the game
