Got my shiny Porygon-Z to level 100 in Legends Arceus, as well as maxed out its stats and mastered all four moves! Now I just need to get a Modest Mint and give it to it, and it'll be PERFECT! Hopefully Porygon-Z is in the SV DLC, cuz I really want to use it in that game.

Porygon2 is my preference in that line personally, even putting aside my NFE bias. Has always felt reliable as well as really variable in how I can use it in battles.

Z is alright, but the only time I feel it's being in my eyes specifically for a team is in Alola, when it had Z-Conversion.

With that said, would be neat if it is indeed in the DLC. Would mean I can pit my Porygon2 against your Porygon-Z.

Though my eyes are more glued on Galar Pokemon or Meltan returning, since I'd have not ever trained them before.

Alcremie is all we know of IIRC.

Spore is a good one. Smeargle makes for an alright Baton Passer too given it's got access to every boosting move. Sticky Webs IMO could be rather solid as a move choice alongside Spore too, given something being put to sleep is likely to prompt a switch.

One funny combo that can work oddly well is Imprison and Transform.

I actually can see why that one dude is making a Crystal romhack that rebalances a lot of stuff (Swaps Dark from special to physical and Ghost from physical to special, rebalances gym leader levels and trainer levels to fit the level curve, changes wild encounters so all Johto mons can be found in Johto, etc etc)

I was thinking about this track earlier and how it's almost the entire opposite of Temporal Tower in the vibe it has

If I were to pick for Time and Darkness though, where the special episodes don't exist, then...I honestly can't decide between Steam Cave or On the Beach at Dusk.

One gets slower and more sinister when you you go from tower to spire, with the organ arpeggio or whatever going from high to low, whereas the other gets faster and more optimistic when you go from mountain to mountain peak, with the organ arpeggio or whatever going from low to high

It's interesting from the point that Temporal Tower/Temporal Spire becomes more sinister because your character and partner have seen how awful the future becomes and they're trying their hardest to stop it from happening, whereas Vast Ice Mountain/Vast Ice Mountain Peak becomes more optimistic because Grovyle and co have seen how amazing the past was like, and it's because the past is already fixed that it's more of a 'when' rather than an 'if' like with the Temporal Tower tracks

There is a slight 'sinister' vibe to Vast Ice in parts tho because the characters know what's gonna happen when everything gets fixed

Temporal Tower and Vast Ice Mountain having musical similarities in a way kinda reminds me of how Mt. Freeze and Magma Cavern share a weirdly high amount of things in common

Also need to try that challenge in more games to. If a Pokemon faints, I lose access to it's primary typing for the rest of the run.

Actually, in a Battle Tower, evasion strats in my experience tend to be useless. The game'll usually decide you just WILL be hit.

Mind you...agreed on the eurgh anyway. Evasion is something I hate facing or using.

It's a case with the Battle Tower than the game hand picks the opponent you'll fight and then decides whether you're going to actually land that 95% accurate move while letting the opponent fire off perfect Focus Blasts

Yellow decided to add Jesse and James, while still challenging, aren't as hard honestly. And facing all them Channelers and then all the Rocket Grunts in Pokemon Tower seems more natural than a three Pokemon fight in Yellow Version.

And you're not guaranteed to get Pikachu unless you do a lot of random encounters in these games.
