People legit need to chill out with complaining on the GBA remakes. It’s a good remake, kinda flat, buts it’s ok. Though people are complaining because they removed a slight curve in the track. Like I get it, Sky Garden was basically a new course with its layout, but this is a curve, it’s not that bad. Honestly, we were lucky we didn’t get an oval

That's how I feel about this whole GBA issue. I can understand why people aren't fond of Sky Garden simplified entirely and/or aesthetic changes to tracks like Cheese Land. But to complain about simplifying one curve to a track layout is ridiculous.

Super Circuit and MK8D/MKT have different physics and controls so it should be expected to see changes. As long as they keep the spirit of the original track intact, then they did a great job of adapting it imo.

Wait, hold up. You say, outside of Sky Garden, people complain about the GBA remakes enough to warrant a "chill out" about it? I've always seen them as the gold standard of how the retro tracks are done personally!

Even Sky Garden visually looks great as a remake of the original course! The simplified layout overall there is what lets it down.

Am not that big on the Luigi Circuit remake...but that's likely cos I don't really care much about Luigi Circuit in the first place and there is only so much Tour can do to spice up a circuit track.

So isn't a fault of Tour's really.

Coconut Mall, specifically the original Wii version (though I still really like the remakes in 7, 8 Deluxe, and Tour). I'm very nostalgic over Mario Kart Wii, and Coconut Mall was always my favorite course to race on back in the day, and it's still my favorite now. The fact that it's such an off-the-wall setting for a race to happen yet still TOTALLY works as a competent racecourse is really neat to me. The escalators and the cars in the parking lot make for great obstacles, and the shortcut through one of the shops near the beginning that you have to mushroom boost through is a really clever idea. Not only that, but the music is absolutely BUMPIN', with the Mii cameos serving as the cherry on top.

I've started to think that maybe removimg inky pirahnas from bangkok was a bad idea cuz it made choosing split paths harder (i.e: if you chose the bottom path you would have to be careful of the plants, but if you chose the upper path you would have to go through a slimmer and somewhat riskier road), without the inky pirahnas tho, it's always much safer to go pick the bottom path instead of the upper path
