Swords usually keep their width throughout the length of. Yours widens towards the hilt which would be the first adjustment I'd make. Also make the blade longer unless you're going for a short sword or dagger. For the handle it's self try extending the cross guard to be wider than the blade (unless you are going for more a buster sword look), grip should be long enough for at least one hand to wrap around with a little added space so extend that as well. And lastly if you want to decorate the handle more add a pommel at the end of the handle. Hope that helps!

@ashen bobcat lengthen the handle. Currently it looks incredibly unbalanced due to the one-handed look of the grip. Making it look more two-handed would balance it out a bit more and give it a chance at seeming more practical, despite it still being a work of fantasy. Aside from that, I’d maybe add a pommel (a disc or scent stopper pommel would work best, I think, but do what you like.) sorry for the horrid timing, but I hope I could be of some assistance!

I would recommend it, yes! Learning the basic types of swords and how they typically looked in reality would be a good step to take, as adding that extra bit of realism and prior knowledge can really help out when you wanna tweak those designs to fit in a fantasy world

I may be able to help a bit with that if you’d like, too, just DM me and I can give you a rundown of typical sword types & such. If not, there are plenty of people on YouTube who teach the topics well (such as Shadiversity and Skallagrim)

So I made this bridge out of popsicle sticks and skewer sticks, then I painted it with 1 part water 3 part brown paint, (I recommend 4 part paint if you do this), I am currently waiting for it to dry, then I will send it.

@frozen mist sorry for the late reply, the plan is to narrow down the two most voted and flesh out those designs more, and then do a final vote on which one I should make into a finalized character. And yah theyre all 200% based on rwby lol. 1, 3 and 4 are all a mix of ruby and weiss while 2 is a mix of raven and yang.
