Depending on what medium you're using to make your art, you may want to look into something called line weight to give your drawings more depth.

Aight, refined my image from the other day and I think the characters are easier to distinguish. I did them each in different colors and added some value to certain parts to represent what is coming forward in the space. Anatomy is still off on parts, but I'm going to fix that later. Also the darker grey area at the feet of the yellow character and behind the blue character is representative of smoke I plan on adding later. Could I get some crit on the composition of the piece? Looking to see if the placement of the characters feels balanced.

This is something that has been discussed. While there is a lot of heroforge arts'n'crafts being posted right now, that's likely due to two key reasons:

  1. It's new and people are excited about it, which will likely die down over time
  2. It provides a very accessible way for people to turn their characters into reality, something that was previously quite hard for a lot of people, and folx are excited about that freedom
    We'll keep an eye on things and if it doesn't look like the wave of heroforge content is dying down, it starts to become disruptive (meme content more than genuine characters), or it begins drowning out other types of art, we'll revisit things.
    As it stands, a lot of people have been granted a previously unavailable freedom to express their characters and want to share

Eyeven (my character, not me, sadly) has got himself a girlfriend! Her name is Althaea, and she is just amazing. She's in his backstory. The wings are there when she casts the fly spell. I know the game manual doesn't say anything about ethereal wings appearing with the fly spell, but I like to think they do. Testors generally makes enamel paints that work well on injected plastic models. If you've primed the plastic, it should work fine. Shake up the bottle and you're good to go. That said, many figure model painters prefer acrylic paints from brands like Vallejo, Army Painter, and Citadel.

Hey I could use some crafting advice from any model builders or miniature painters in the group. I bought a mini figure for d&d and it’s extremely finely detailed and fragile. In the places where the resin or what have you is thinnest, it bends too. And it has a spot on the victim’s foot where extra material is sticking out that needs to be removed somehow. Does anyone know what kind of tools/methods I could use for removing the extra material or if there’s a way to make the figure stronger or more rigid? Also how do I paint details this small?! I really bit off more than I can chew here.

@fleet loom I use a very sharp exacto knife to remove extra material. As for strengthening it, you could get some brush on resin to add a bit more stability. Small painting really just needs some small brushes and a steady hand. For small details on my mini I use the army painter insane detail and psycho brushes
