Where sanctimonious blends into the drawing feels a little odd I suppose. Perhaps adjusting that somewhat with a different word or getting it onto a different line would be all that rings to me. As is it seems like two things layered on top each other, rather than a piece someone had purpose built to be together.

So this particular Sword Breaker was owned by the PCs friend. Typical low level sidekick. But they constently point to him as their fav character. Following a event where the part Samurai Jack style is thrown into the future 22 years. They gain audience with the Empress who is like the BBEG. And that bloody sword breaker. Next session they will find out how and why she has it.

I've considered getting the 3d model bundles Humble Bundle has had a few times, but unfortunately the main game I run/play (DMPC because the party needed help and has now been adopted by the party) is all digital and there's no way we could have a physical game with one in England, one in Australia, one in South Dakota, and the rest in Texas 😅

yellow/orange should be the "highlights", but also some black of where it's "cooled" (as much as lava can even cool)

My character has been having a deity appear to him in visions so I tried my hand at sketching the picture the DM has sent me in private DMs to show the rest of the group.
I also tried to make things look a little more ye olde worldy by spilling coffee on the sketches and baking everything in the oven.
oven temp: 200f or 93.33c for a few minutes
- topleft: lots of coffee, left liquid on top of paper to evaporate in oven
- topright: light spray of coffee, got rid of excess before baking
- bottom: goldilocks. little extra liquid but not much. also pulled from oven a little earlier.

plus, i dont think you have any legal basis to forbid people from, like, downloading, sharing and using your stuff non-commercially
because it's kind of open source by default once you upload it to some kind of social media

That's part of why I try to hide my signature in my images. Even if people try to edit it, they usually don't know where my signature is to remove it

It's not that it's open source, and definitely does not drop into fair use unless the person is using it to create something completely new (cutting it apart to create a collage, or a video to interpret and critique how the eyebrows are done or something along those lines.
Legally it requires the consent of the artist to use it for personal use, however it is neigh impossible to stop it from being used over the internet except on a case by case basis

A good idea is to look at older D&D Maps as well, I saw one for Nova Vaasa (Ravenloft area) and the map was pretty simple, but it doesn't need much. Once you mark roads, ports, villages, towns, lakes, rivers, forests, give areas names, landmarks, it starts to add up
When it comes to maps, I, unfortunately, am someone that needs a starting point. My original map was a generated one that I keep recycling till I found a coast and layout I liked, then built on it. Kind of I guess taking it in that in the real world, they can't terraform super easily, so would have to work with what they're given

In a previous session my players were asked to rid a town of a dragon problem. They accomplished this task by convincing the young green dragon to abandon its tiny hoard and uncomfortable lair and instead go assault the nearby city. "They have so much treasure there", "You could live a life of luxury!" "You call this a hoard? barbarian literally deadlifts a small box of treasure.
They ... miraculously succeeded and the dragon took their advice.
Weeks later the party arrives in the city only to find no evidence of a battle and the local population is using a new form of currency.
It turned out that when the dragon initially attacked, a local citizen proposed that they come to an understanding. The city adopted a new form of currency based on a mass produced promissory notes system. Instead of basing their currency on GOLD, it would be based on the IDEA of gold. Gold that would be kept safe by its new guardian in the royal vaults. My friends... I present .... dramatic music ... The very first printing of our new currency .... The Greenback!

To be fair, there are a lot of skeletons in there ;P It's meant to be an abandoned dwarven research facility, meant to improve their ability to create magic weapons/armor.

I also made the base the party I DM for is going to be using in the second part of my campaign. A fortress in the Feywild. I do wish that some talented soul had made some broken wall assets.

Perhaps try adding some rivers and lakes. That'll give you a bunch of good places to slap in a town. Then you could add some roads connecting things. Maybe some more forests and mountain ranges or a desert or grassland

Yeah because Vylethorn is the major forest but I'm really not sure how to make that look good

@wicked yoke I'd suggest adding some splashes of light in DD, even if they're not dynamic in your tabletop. It can really add some depth to the space with light and shadow.
