#How important exactly are university rankings?
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
valid question ngl
I would like to also hear the answers too, personally what I have heard, it is master which matter
Idk abt other subjects but for a med/dental student having a high ranking university, does in fact make your degree more recognizable. Having a low ranking one just means more paperwork or time to recognize ur degree I think. Unless you studied in europe and went to another place in europe to work.
Also, if it's a smaller/newer university it's possible they won't give u the same university life compared to another. For example; they'll have fewer clubs or student associations, or even facilities.
I think an advantage of a high ranking/well known university is that they have more connections cuz of a good rep, but this doesn't mean every low ranking university is like tht.
For the 3rd paragraph wdym by 'more connections'
Like
Partnerships
With other universities
For eg
Or companies
For internships

Oh ok
Thanks @main hornet
Npp
Thanks @wise copper
Does the +1 rep thing not work now
So aim for a higher one but you'll still make it in life no matter where u end up
Not in these forums
just curious, what is the sweet spot between the cost of tution and the value of the uni?
