anon, im so glad you were able to share all of this. just like stateofgrace said, this has unfortunately become so common that almost everyone can relate to it in one way or another, including myself.
it hurts me to read you say that you weren't the best gf because you were obviously so manipulated and trapped in abuse that even reaching out to people you love and trust became something that would make him angry. you werent wrong to do whatever you did and none of it was your fault. i hope you learn to leave all of this in the past, and treat the past as something that does not define you, but rather something you have learnt from and grown immensely as a person
i wish you the best and i really hope you are able to accept that that abusive rs was not what love is or can be, and it is certainly not the kind of love you deserve.
