I actually had a freaky thing happen to me the past summer which might be like this.

After coming home from the gym, I was exhausted, I took a shower and decided to sleep, turned off all the lights and then sleep.

After like 2 hours or something, I was 'sleeping' but my 'mind' was awake.

I decided to open my eyes and check the time, but, I suddenly noticed that my left arm was "floating" or it felt like as if someone would hold you by your wrist.
I thought maybe I had slept wrong and my arm was just numb or something.

BUT THEN, I felt as if the bed sheet had been COMPRESSED, slowly the compressions came closer, closer, closer, it felt like whatever it was, was now on my chest. Sitting, waiting and looking at me.

One part of my mind wanted me to keep my eyes shut, the other wanted to quickly use my hand and punch it.

I was in a state of limbo, I decided to have some courage and just PUNCH IT.
I opened my eyes finally and saw that nothing was there, my arm was numb.

I think I was just tired. Though I did feel the 'compressions' and the weight of something sitting on my chest.

Well gang gang thats my story. Never happened again.

yooo this has happened to me but in a different way. I was sleeping and then my mind woke up but i was still asleep and wanted to turn over to the other side of my bed but it felt like i was being pressed down on. i was conscious and wanted to move my body to the other side but i literally could not (its giving sleep paralysis) and i could see the door from my corner eye and it looked like some tall black creature was standing there. i just kept looking at it and then at some point i guess i stopped being compressed and turned over slept again. i did not remember this at all until like the evening when i was like "wait a min-"
