So basically the University of London is affiliated with different organizations in different countries, and in those organizations, they teach the same course but in our home country. And in the end, we will get a University of London degree. My question is: Is this path better than going out? Secondly, they offer a foundation program for 1 year which is also offered by the University of London, and after the foundation, you can get into the university FOR SURE. So, do y'all think it's better to do my university from my home country and get a University of London degree OR go to another country and then study there? Which one is better? Also, please mention the foundation and A-Levels difference and which is better.
#Is foundation better than A-Levels?

Foundation would be a good bet ad with foundation you get a quicker course and a guaranteed entrance to your desired universities in some foundations like the NCUK IFY & Year One Foundation Courses. A Levels would be better in some areas as it gives you an international certificate that is recognized by most universities in the world but if you're aming for UK based universities you should consider the NCUK Foundation as that's what I'm doing right now.
Foundation levels are recognized but may not be used internationally thus, in conclusion A Levels take more time and does not guarantee a university entrance but Foubdation courses would be a good bet as it offers guarantee to entrances and such.
Where is NUCK and what even is that
NCUK is a Foundation course.
I'll send you it's website link one second.
You should take a look at it and see if there's a study center in your country.
But then the foundation is more expensive than A-Levels + foundations are easier so it doesn't prep you well for uni at least that's what I think idk tho tbh but you're right you get a guaranteed admission but you gotta do foundation for every uni like for example if I want to go to UBC then I'll have to do foundation course of UBC and if I have to do in University of London then I'll have to do that like ykwim
Okay hold up
For NCUK they have a lot and I mean a lot of partner university so it basically is you do the foundation and you pick your desired university later.
- Your application will be prioritized as you are applying from a partnership program.
Okay yeah it's available in my country
That's good to hear.
So for example if I want to go to any IVY league unis that's an easy path? And what is the requirement?
That's the course I'm taking in Jan.
And if I want to go to any normal public uni for example UOL or Ubc etc then it's gonna work too?
Well I wouldn't really aim for IVY's as I think NCUK Foundation is for like Ranking 4 and under universities
Okay, that makes sense but then again we will be shortlisted right? + what's the chance they're going to give me a scholarship on this? Can't afford the full price smh
Scholarships are also given very often.
ah that makes sense I'm js askin for general info lol I'm not planning to go to IVY leagues either
depending on the uni?
Wb the extra curricular n shi
Do we need to have certain amount of volunteer hours n all?
I don't think you'll be shortlisted. As nearly all students who graduated from the NCUK course from my study center has gotten a scholarship offer and an entrance.
Woah now that's some real shi that's pretty good then imo
Nah but sometimes it depends on your school they may host volunteer sessions that may help you earn extra curricular hours and stuff
For scholarships my study center applies you to 5 schools at least and helps you with the admission process and the visa process and such.
Ah, so it depends on the school then wherever you're going
Have a look at this and find your course and try to see the universities available. https://www.ncuk.ac.uk/ncuk-qualifications/ncuk-entry-directory/
They're just the WAY
Yesss.
Thank u man :)

can I dm/ping you if I need help?
They also list stuff likinimum required grades and such.
Feel free to pm and ping me anytime.
I'll respond asap.
Ohhh so there is an IG requirement?
Alr bet thanks ^^
Gave +1 rep to henrywantsfood!
Nah I mean like the required grade you need in the NCUK course to get into the uni.
For my school they give scholarships up to 50% based on your IG grades as well.
Feel free to ask me anything anytime.
Ohhh so they give you a scholarship based on your grades in foundation course?
Yes and you also get scholarships for the foundation based on your IG results and such.
So again, depends on the school
Yup.
Okay that makes a lot of sense
But but
again, the foundation is a bit easier and A-Levels is harder and obvi through alevels you're gonna learn MORE
And it will be easier for any student in the uni
That's true.
Okay I see but again then with A-Levels you don't have guaranteed admission it depends
It depends if you want a quick route to a university or if you wanna learn all you need before you advance to a University.
Yesss exactly that's why I don't take A Levels.
- they take too much time
Okay so it's the preference
There are pros and cons for both of em
Why do the majority of the students take A-Levels then
Yah I get now alright thanks bud, gotcha thanks for the info

No problem have an amazing day!
Probably to pick from a wider range of universities.
As foundation courses may not have universities they wish to apply to.
Perhaps and maybe most of them don't know like one of them was me I didn't know there was smth like a foundation till a few months ago 😭😭
Yuhh
That's true I didn't know what a foundation was like a year back but now I'm a pro foundation guy lol
regardless of the case, I'll think about it and then lyk if I have any questions OH WAIT
What if anyone did AS
And then want to do Foundation
Lmfao good luck with ur foundation course
Is that possible
Thanks and have fun!!
perhaps wasted a year but still js askin
I think after AS then you just apply
Cuz I don knowuch Abt AS and stuff
No worries!
Hmmm depends
You have money?
Ik it's a veryyyyy vague question but if you do yes go for foundation
Since it faster and more expensive and you can go to university of London
And remember university of London is expensive on its own too
Very expensive actually
But idk it's usually better to do a levels but in this specific cause since it's a bridge to an amazing uni it's better if you can afford everything that comes with it
Cause foundation is always more expensive
Harder
Well difficulty delends
Depends*
But it's not as recognised as alevels in case anything happens ig
Nah Nah here in the partnership uni they teach us the whole uni course within 6-7k pounds which is EXTREMELY CHEAP imo but that's the UNI not the foundation
For foundation they charge me 850 pounds here
Which is again not that expensive
As in London its around 2k pounds
Idk how shi works but we went to the college which is affiliated with uol
and they gave us the fee structure n shi
And tbh it was REALLY cheap and they said they could give me some scholarship in their own costs like the org is asking for money in local currency
For their own institution
And in pounds for UPL
UOL*
Ykwim
Idk tho
nono
For 7k pounds????????
I didn't go cause it was 50k pounds???????
ur from pak right
Nope
lemme show u the website
Sure let me have a look
Is it like those multiple branch unis like Monash in Malaysia
And uni of Nottingham in Malaysia
They told me that they're going to give me uni of London degree in the end
Yeah basically like uni of Monash Malaysia
But the Monash one everyone in the world knows about it's branch
Never heard of uni of London branches in pakistan
So research more into it to make sure
so is it valid or no tho
About it like search Reddit for it
Yeah a few of my cousin's friends did LLB from there
Cause for Malaysia I was gonna go to Monash since it was cheap and I got the same certificate and it was verified after alot of research of mine haha
Wait so it is valid right they're going to to gimme UOL official shi
ah I see I did go to them and I'm like BRO THIS IS CHEAP ASF 😭 and it pit me into thinking and
I'm like instead of paying a certain amount for A-levels
I should invest in their foundation
Cuz it's the same price
ALMOST
AND THE COURZE IS CHEAP ASF
True but foundation are hard and also less worth than alevels
And also idk man alevels were the best yrs of my life hahahaha won't give that up haha but up to you
But don't take this into consideration of course
I mean even after I complete my a-levels is this a good option?
doing uni in my home country n shi
Ykwim
Okay true hahahahaha
Cause remember the degree would be same worth yes the piece of paper at the end hahaha
But the internship and knowledge
And also the teachers 😭
So ask around
The alumni tour family
Reviews everything and then take your decision
Alr alr sure thanks man :)
Gave +1 rep to greenfalcon_1!
Yeah but remember bro whatever decision you take it will go alright and god will always make sure something good happens
Yup, thanks!
